Sounds like he told a few mates on Friday night, it got back to the wrong people who didn't want him in the company then Monday got the call. Its happened before it'll happen again.

I know from a previous life forgien companies working in Australia were only subject to their home countries tax, in certain mining area. I think at the time it was a break to encourage the industry...

Just sit tight, you should be able to get a direct entry command in a turbine in any capital city within the next 12 months. Every pilot with any experience will be in a jet.
