Looking for some advice as to what employers expect when they ask for 'Total Hours'. Is that Total Aeronautical Experience or Grand Total Hours?

Rather than make a long winded CTAF-like broadcast, why not just say the standard, approaching top of descent call, CEN will pass traffic etc....
