I understand that 'The Quality' flying for DHL(EMA) have been told not to wear 'pullys' outside of the flightdeck,apparently it lowers the tone! Any chums confirm?

Layoffs at ACL Ireland.

My contacts at ACL Ireland inform me that thay have started laying off some B727 Flight Engineers who where under contract to the company. Lets wish them the best of luck as I dont see to many FEs...

Word in the jungle is that Fedex are about to expand cargo ops in Europe big time. New aircraft (Turboprops)? and new operator and crews. Would need to be independant of UPS , TNT, DHL, I suppose....

Whilst passing through Instanbul,I heard that the remaining four EAT B727s will be going onto a days only operation from the end of this year.I bet that slows down the rush for the B757!!

Whilst in Lisbon, I heard that two of EATs A300s might be about to be wet leased. Route Hong Kong/Tokyo for DHL.Crew on six week rotation. Can anybody confirm this and will the B757s get a look in?
