BA slashing fares.

evidently huge fare cuts have been announced.

if ba have deep enough pockets they might just be able to see off the 'low cost ' boys after all.

ryanair might have to pay us to fly...sorry just got carried away...

Unfortunately, they should be slashing staff and other costs.....
Lower fares, slightly better sales, lower yields but same old high fixed costs therefore no great change.

As someone who works for BA, we are always being told by mismanagement that shorthaul into europe does not make any money.

If we cannot make money selling tickets for £250 I fail to see how much extra we are going to make selling tickets for £69.

Anyone can be a 'low fares' airline....for a while!

Running a sustainable 'low cost' airline is a different matter entirely.

I have always found BA cheaper than the likes of sleazy jet but that is probably because I can only book at the last minute.
