I fly a TB10, When i first started flying it i noticed it's a very slippy a/c compared to the PA38 'tomahawk' id been used to.
The vp prop took quite a bit of getting used to, so flying regularly...

Looking at the size of a heated pitot just to de-ice a small hole, I think heating up the leading edge of 2 wings would require quite some power.

Listen to ATC online

On my scanner from home i can pick up the local aircraft but not the Tower/Approach etc

wouldn't it be nice to listen to your local ATC online, It seems that many
other country's don't mind this...

I was meant to fly there today from the northwest...

I was meant to fly there today from the northwest but avoided due to mist over south wales
and below zero temps so i chose to fly with Air Southwest instead and then missed the flight :(

How was ATC at Liverpool when asking for a zone transit? I find them as helpful as they can be most of the time.

Its the Overview section that seems to not get updated,
I always check Taf's and Metar's elsewhere.

I just hope student pilots arnt relying on this website as an actual report for weather.

As SGC said Manchester or Liverpool are fine for diversions, If its because of bad weather im sure Liverpool waver the cost.
To the south of Liverpool you also have Hawarden and Sleap :)
