In total I paid $18,000. Including airfares, accommodation, spending money, type rating, TSA application and M1 visa.

CASA except a type rating from USA as long as it's FAA approved. Mine got put on my licence easily. I just sent all the training records to CASA and paid the fee.

As far as jobs in Asia I think...

Training Bond tax deductable?

If you can't claim endorsement costs then how come Jetstar and Virgin pilots are salary sacrificing their training costs? Wouldn't it be the same as paying for it yourself and claiming it on tax?

Casa powers in regards to aircraft inspection.

You can't refuse them but they can't access a hanger etc if no one is in attendance with out warrants. They can however inspect an aircraft parked in the ramp but I don't think they can access the...
