Hi,

Am I right assuming that everything that comes closer than 5nm within 1000ft above and below is considered an intruder by TCAS?

But how can TCAS then know about 2000ft separation above...

Yep, i got one. Good instrument. There are scales 1:1000000 and 1:500000 for statute and nautical miles. No need to calculate your track. And just noticed that there's also a scale for 1:250000.
