You attend a 3 or more day OJTI class and you have to be facility/sector/twr certified for 12 months. And you are required to take refresher classes each year.

I see that the DFS is still advertising on FG for aerodrome positions and well even on there site they have tower slots and i was just wondering, wasn't the needed...
