Really sorry to hear about Pat. A really nice guy, always enjoyed chatting to him about music, one of the real characters from my early days in ATC. Pity there aren't a few more like him these days!...

I remember John from my brief time on 'A' Watch in the early 90's.
Incredibly nice guy and will be sorely missed I'm sure by his family and ex colleagues.
Pity there aren't more like him in NATS...

Sad to see the old tower go. Had lots of fun there in the 1980's when I was a young man, with HD (BMc), AC and others. LATCC gone too now! Look forward to seeing pictures of Swanwick being demolished...

rules so now I'll have to wait 'til 55! Will miss some parts of the job and the people but not all the BS that goes with...

Bit like the well know 'Scottish' ATCO at West Drayton who went sick and put PMT down on the form. HR sent it back because he put the wrong dates on!!!

I remember starting a night duty at Heathrow as an assistent back in the 80's. A Flying Tigers 747 did a very impressive tail strike landing on 28L (as it was then), lots of nice fireworks!!

The move of the NAS FDP system is supposed to be September followed by TC in November I believe, then site closure some time next year.

Of course all this depends on wether the airlines...
