all aircraft operating in and out of a ctaf or ctaf r should have to have a vhf fitted - they are not expensive and make it a lot safer for everybody

Understand a lot more radio traffic however would be a lot safer maybe at levels over 2500 for example ???

After all the talk and maybe some b/s how much do the choppers on fires carry in 40 c day and at least 1.5 hours fuel lets say 2000 feet amsl ???
