Im not an A380 expert, but believe the wing root is over engineered to accommodate a future fuselage stretch. Therefore, I think winglets could be added on, assuming the spar is also over strength?

There is no restriction on EK pilots moving to AUH. Several pilots, mostly ex-cadets, have done this. The arrangement only applies to pilots coming to EK where 12 months applies.

And they actually get their 42 days, not just some of them like most of us.

Doesn't MFF training take 2 days, one of which is a commercial flight anyway? So almost nil cost to EK to MFF qualify the junior guys and let those that have done their time move over to the A380.
