So in the event of a go around

is it normal procedure for the pilots to check the engine instruments after the power has been applied, just to confirm they are spooling up, I'm sure can work out where this question comes from.

does hitting the TOGA switch have the same effect...

does hitting the TOGA switch have the same effect as pushing the thrust leavers all the way forward, in that you'd just have max thrust until the pilot made some sort of input?

Unfortunately I don't have a solution, but to get reconnected slightly more quickly I'd turn off the laptop, unplug from mains, remove the battery, reinstall the battery, fire it up and it'd be fine...
