It happens quite a lot at an airport like LGW with a single runway and that amount of traffic. It's happened to me twice there - in a Dan Air 1-11 in the 80s and Atlas Blue 737 couple of years ago.

Indeed and an interesting read it is too. AV200 have also recently released 1:200 scale models of the BAC 1-11 500 fleet in all four colour versions.

Purely subjective, but I think it would be hard to beat the Super VC 10, especially in the BOAC livery of the late 60s. Stunning.

Heathrow T4

The SkyTeam airlines at Heathrow are: Air France (T2), KLM (T4), Alitalia (T2), CSA (T2), KAL (T3). Northwest, Delta & Continental fly into Gatwick. Areomexico doesn't fly direct to UK.
