I previously suggested a Thread Index and received a polite response from Heliport and Senior Pilot to the effect that such a thread may require excessive maintenance in terms keeping it up to date.
In view of this I have modified the Index by dividing it into two basic categories; Aircraft and Popular Threads, neither of which will require any significant up-dating. The Aircraft section (which is not exhaustive) is the motivation for the Index and I am especially thinking of newbies who may find this helpful as not all the aircraft thread titles are immediately obvious. The Popular Threads category is a list of the ten most popular threads (based on the number of views and not including specific aircraft threads) and is based on 'more recently' popular threads as there are doubtless threads from times past with high viewing numbers. If Senior Pilot is amenable to the idea, perhaps one could run a poll (or simply invite feedback) at to whether Rotorheads consider a basic Thread Index to have potential use or whether it is a waste of space.
