Giving Vietnam vet SASless some tips on the finer points of flying a Huey.

Good to see Whirlygig and Hemac at Redhill.

Missed lots of you today, mainly due to the fact I had a last minute hitch and couldn't make the short journey up the M23........

Chinook Display at Redhill

Hats off to the Chinook pilot who flew the display at Redhill today....reminded me of why I loved flying that old girl! Some very impressive flying!

FL....all tracer works best on Lawyers.....makes chasing them down on the run a lot easier!

Had a fantastic day, lovely to catch up with those I have not seen for ages and get to meet SASless and the beautiful machine.

The weather was as usual British weather, in a word, cr@p, but I don't think it dampened anyones spirits. The flight I went on was truly amazing . Thank you to all those who arranged it.

Whirls hope you got back ok

Brillant day and next year is supposed to be bigger and better can't wait

Yep, got back at 8.45; quite a good run and beat SASless back home when he bet me that he'd get back first! Ha-ha! He underestimated the speed of my driving in my GTV!

Great day; thanks to everyone but especially Vee..any. Cheers mate!

Cheers

huey in uk

For the record the Huey seen passing Brighton east-west and then west-east was a Luftwaffe machine which attended the HeliDays event at Weston-super-Mare.It was in immaculate condition...fresh from overhaul and will be flying for a few more years yet.

Redhill was small but the display impressive.

Sight and sound

Heard and saw Huey 509 returning from Barton. First heard south of Leyland and we are in Mellor some 15 miles away. Then forst sighted it between Leyland and Bamber Bridge. Unmistakable becuase of its size and the rotors.
