TQ. this version was the BN2 MkIIIB that originally came from Air Pacific I think? For years the country in which this pic was taken had 2 of them. Douglas Airways had the more common 'short-nose' version. I read recently that the Poms may be putting the Trislander back in to production...

I received an AAE brochure the other day showing what flew where.......most folk would not get it, but the MU-2 shown on the map of OZ suggested it might actually run around your part of the world....so :sad: keep your eyes peeled at night!:ok:

Rabbit 1 They certainly did. DNN, DNP and DNX.
If memory serves correctly, DNN was actually the prototype Trislander and along with DNP were the only ones operational for the last year or so of Douglas Airways existance.
DNX was a 'hangar queen;' Was supposedly having a major inspection but for the nine months I was there never moved from the maintenance hangar.

You know what, how about where?

Glad you didn't show the port side of Kilo as everyone would of witnessed where 'yours truly' hangar rashed the winglet. Not one of my finest moments working for the docs.

The Kilo came from sunny Meeka. Was in two minds about whether or not to go back. mmmmm MEK or Wingellina, choices choices:ugh:

The new camp administrator is a top bloke and seems to have done a lot for the place including removing rusted wrecks (I love aliteration) and kicking out the camps canine's. A few rascals managed to sneak through however.

Sarcs, from this photo I think all evidence port side has been removed. We used white out from the Farmer Jacks. If you happen to be DP now on the european bird, then PH in MEK has filled me in about the hangar rash details.:D Bet you're loving your new gig. Cheers mate
