QFCCA Medicals

Does anyone know how long you have to complete the medical? I have been away since my interview day and have just got back to work and have been flat out.. Is there a cut off day for this intake as such??

Kind Regards,

Plane....

Timeline

Hi SocialFlyer

I'm just wondering what was the timeline for you to get from the panel selection in MEL to the medicals? I wonder what they are going to test for during the medicals, or if they will exclude anyone that has a condition automatically..?

Anyone else able to shed a bit of light on this?

Melbourne Recruitment

Hey Guys,

I applied through http://www.qfcabincrewaus.com.au a month ago, though i've been updating it regularly. I was wondering if anyone in melbourne who's an external applicant got an invitation to attend the group interviews. I have all the essential requirements they asked Including one of the priority language but never got an invitation. any help would be much appreciated. Thanx

Hey Fleur,

I went along to assessment on the 22nd Jan ( same day as you i think). Had my medical yesterday. I had to postpone it from last week due to work committments.

I received a call from QCCA again an hour ago. I got offered the job. Start date 3rd March!!!! So excited.

El bell - see you there.

Recruitment lady said they are finalising the state with training dates - so anyone waiting for news should find out very soon!!!

Good luck to everyone!!!

Congratulations to those who have been successfull. Well done it's great news!

I was wondering if you have past airline experience? There doesn't seem to be a real pattern so far with success stories. There have been so many applicants I can't imagine how many piles of people they have.

Was kind of wondering if they might leave ex-crew for the A380 intake later in the year.

Any thoughts from others out there?

I have a start date for the 3rd too!

I haven't had previous airline experience A_B_P..so not too sure about that pattern.

On recruitment day, someone at my table asked as to which aircraft we were applying for. We were told the A380's. But, don't quote me on that.

Good luck to everyone else who is waiting!

I'd be very surprised if you were going to be trained for the A380. We don't receive our first aircraft until August, so it is more likely that crew training for the A380 would start around June/July. Either way, it's good. The A380 would be exciting, but having access to a greater number of destinations would be my preference (747, 767, A330).

Thanks el bell for the description!

I had my panel interview in Melbourne on 7 Feb, so have yet to hear anything from them yet.. I have also just faxed my Victorian Police Certificate to them today, so am still keeping all digits crossed!

You had to go to a specified medical practitioner to do the medics right..?

The wait is killing me!!

Hi Corey,

Not sure, but a friend who applied mentioned that she thought there were two coming up. One on the 3rd and one on the 10th.

I wish I had something to ease your nerves, as I was feeling just as anxious before I received the call this morning.

Hopefully, anytime now you'll hear from them.

how many courses can be run at same time?

usually 16 in each course, can run as many as they like
depending on number of trainers available and facility
rooms but probably not many trainers about. last
full training school longhaul, apart from strikebreakers,
was 5+ years ago. often schools can overlap each other.
