I reckon your right there Flugbegleiter and we don't need this closed down so the ignore button it is.

I don't reckon there will be any probs with the new crew.I get along with the kiwi and bkk crew and I've had a barrel of laughs with some of them.So why would it any different this time.
Welcome to the club boys and girls

Hey everyone,
I made it right though the recruitment day. I have done my medical, my references have been called and I have got all relevant certificates etc to QCCA. So I guess it's a waiting game from now on in - with all fingers and toes crossed.
Good Luck to everyone.

I was speaking to a friend today, who said he was in at Qantas (mascot) yesterday and he ran into a friend (non-flyer) who was in a training group and said he started 2 days ago. My friend was under the impression that it was a new start long haul group........

I have been trying to keep up with this forum... but is it true that a non MAM long haul class has started??? Has anyone heard this???

I was thinking maybe it was a new MAM casual class going through to replace all the ones that have left for Long Haul........

(sorry for any bad spelling!!)

indamiddle,

go to the public profile of the person who is being a pest and in the middle on the right is a line where it tells you if you want to ignore that person.

If we can't see her then she can't annoy us.Sort of like going to the local when you and your missus are not seeing eye to eye but you couldn't be bothered getting into a blue.

QF B Scale Pay

Hi Guys,

I've been reading the terms and conditions as outlined in the QF EBA for QCCA staff and just wanted to clarify a couple of points as outlined in the EBA. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

My understanding is that the base salary is $33,475 in addition to this crew will receive $2.60 per flying our which is set to be at approx 220 flying ours in a 8 week cycle. The 2.60 covers all incidentals. Finally the EBA specifies overtime for duties exceeding 12 hours.

My question is there is no mention in the EBA about any type of pay in slip port (slip port allowances), hence does that mean you do not get them, and the above is the total package??? Or are the slip port payments still payable in each port overseas, in the currency of that country and paid additional to the above upon arrival at hotels?????

It's very difficult to determine what the total package will actually be because my calculations on the base, plus incidentals alone would not bring you up to $55,000 to 60,000 as people have specified in the past post...

Any help would be excellent...

Cheers

SocialFlyer,
QCCA crew get meal allowances exactly the same as existing crew.
Part A of EBA8 applies to all crew, Part 1 is existing crew only, and Part 2 is QCCA, so go to Part A section 9.

EBA8 is made up of 3 parts. Part A covers both current QF and QCCA crew, Part 1 covers QF crew only, part 2 covers QCCA only.

You will find the allowances section in part A section 9. You will be paid at your hotel for the meal allowances you are entitled to in slip port at the same rate as the current QF crew. Depending on what kind of trips you do current crew quote between $10000 - $15000 in allowances per year.

Thats why you see quotes on here of $50+.

If you are going to be QCCA then part A and part 2 are your work conditions.

Hey skychild,

You may have missed Petriboy's message. Check the QCCA website. Log in and go to communication and click messages. They will more than likely contact you that way - if not by phone.

Fizzy

I was in your same position last week. I attended one of the first interview days and friends that went to the interviews days after me got their medical heaps before me.

I was eventually asked to do a medical about 2 weeks after my interview date.

I know the waiting sux but be patient. They have a whole lot of applications to get through

Remember no news is good news hope you hear soon

Hi Bag Nazi,

Did they contact your references before they asked you to do your medical? How long after the interview days did your friends hear back?

Cheers

Thanks Peg for the information on divisional transfers. I suppose all we can hope for is that the 2 unions and the company can work something out for the long suffering "domestics" that have wanted to transfer to long haul for some time.

On another note more up-grades in long haul for CSS and CSM have been advertised on the CC website today. Its all happening and I for one am very happy for long haul crew.
