Indeed it is St Thomas. Was inspecting a very nice yacht when it taxied past, my two favourite things at the same time, both float and both are ridiculously expensive to own and operate.
The runway in the pic is probably a couple of hundred miles from there.
The US and British Virgin Islands would be interesting GA destinations from the US, not ridiculously far over water but yet would be an adventure to get there. Like a stretched Florida Keys.

Man...these photos are awesome. All I can think about now is getting a camera and going spotting. I always jump at the opportunity to go to Sydney airport, might as well grab a camera and take some photos. Seems like good fun!
Any good spots to take photos at YSSY, besides that little beach at Rockdale?

'Sydney Haulage Terminal', Bellevue St., off Princes H'way at Sydenham, will get you right up next to the fence, RWY 16R, on short final.
Just across the Cooks R. tributary that 'flows' into the main river, from the actual threshold.
It used to be OK in the 'old days' for access. Don't know about these days, but you could explore it.
Cheers

Thanks Griffo, will definitely check that out
.
How about at Bankstown Airport, do you guys reckon I would be allowed to hang around the scare chair for abit? Or maybe go up into the tower and get some shots? I probably have to ask the controllers themselves, but I'd rather know here before I go to ask them.
Cheers
