Thanks all for your kind words. And surprised myself how well the shot came out
sometimes it just all gells, and I nearly missed this shot this morning. Had the mowing crew out this morning to mow RWY 11/29 strip and afer I made sure all the guys had cleared the strip and then got into a position to take the shot the aircraft was virtually lifting off. And didn't realise until I got it onto the computer did I see how well the prop vortices came out, pure luck!!
This particular King Air is one of the newer residents on the YTWB field, currently making 10 King Airs now based at YTWB. The goal is to try and get shots of all the King Airs in Action. Wish the weather would play nice at the moment.
Thanks Again
Cheers

WoW!!!
Scott,
the king air departure shot is awesome. I have a similar shot of a Yak-52 departing YCEM taken a few years back. Digital zoom on what was then a state of the art camera has nothing on your shot...love it!!!!!!!!!
i'll see if i can't post it up in the next couple of days.

Anyone know why the inboard side of the lower engine cowlings on all three images is painted black (or a dark colour). Something to do with glare maybe ? Got me puzzled.

Because it looks snazzy? Maybe to cut down on reflection fom the rotating beacon at night..... One of the King Airs i fly is mostly white under there and the flashing red of the beacon at night can be most annoying.

Maybe you need to double check that camera
It makes FMO look like new

The first image is with a wide angle lens adaptor (hence why the 172 is the only aircraft in focus).
The second was just playing with different settings!

WOWZA !!...these are some great piccys. Howard Hughes vs Piano Man vs Scottw. The score is pretty even with Piano man to serve. *Drags up chair, gets comfy and waits for the next optic delight. Keep them coming.
