Frigate Bird, Jaba - that was quick!
Later on the Fleet sported "nav lights" - red/green kerosene lamps hung from the tie-down points!
Going out there today again...

The guy has eyes in the back of his helmet!........as you would expect!

A better look from yesterday.
And a few snippets of video.....sorry this was Mrs Jaba's camera today coz I rode the bike out.

all above board Arnold
You is just jealous you are not here!
In fact I must say the ops all weekend were very responsible and all that I saw well behaved.
Quite unlike some events that lets just say ....have been discussed here before featuring a deceased Drofter pilot

So Bills De-Ice works well does it
Kosciuszko
Mighty snowy.
quick question? what are the legalities of fitting Skis and putting down somewhere in the Kosciuszko National park in winter? there are plenty of flat areas with hardpack snow, the snowcat road to Charlottes pass would be perfect!

Silver Chipmunks
Seen at last weekend's Festival of Flight at Watts Bridge, these immaculate examples of the breed took my fancy (but then I'm biased).
Sharp-eyed viewers will notice three of the four possible rudder size/strakes permutations are visible.

@FTDK -Lake Washington, Seattle? Brilliant spot, spent days there wandering around wide-eyed!!! Pristine aircraft!
@FSO Griffo -re: ski's... there's a little more to it than just throwing a set of skis on & charging off looking for somewhere to play, as I'm sure you are aware. I reckon Compressor Stall and others would have some invaluable information & knowledge to pass on. Not too sure if you'd be able to get appropriate training in AUS -nearest I can think of would be Mt Cook in NZ.
BTW: in a pinch, floats can be used on snow too
