My trip today included myself and crew to participate in the San Remo Channel Challenge.
Zoomed into Phillip Island Airport, gravel 22/04 with 3 Robbo 44 choppers operating. Participated in the Channel Challenge, 500metre swim and 2km return run. Takes around 11 minutes for the elite guys.
After that headed into the relatively new National Vietnam Veterans Museum. $9 adult entry. A little different to most museums, the guy on the front desk actually drove the tank and the guy selling the food was the one driving the machine gun. They have a Canberra bomber out back being restored back to flying condition apparently, one of the engines was restored and on display ready for running.
Note: Bou not actually located at Phillip Island hence the birdcrap on the photo.

Where?
Hi Folks
I've been enjoying looking back a few months through this thread to all the amazing photos and videos. I particularly like all the 180/185/195 photos and adventures, espcially Chimbu Chuckles, FTDK, 185Skywagon, VH-XXX, etc. Frigatebird and nose_wheel_first some of your photos of lightning and the making of the airstrip of Christopher Skase's island are just fantastic. I really appreciate the effort many have gone to in scanning old photos for us all to see. But it has to be Chimbu's videos that take the prize; mate they are just fantastic and you inspire us all with your bush pilot skills and adventures (not to mention hand restoration of a Bonanza, exciting project). Just great, thanks to everyone who upload pictures and videos!
Here is (what I hope are) a few interesting location shots. None of them are out of the way or remote (in fact, a little clue, they're all within 60 nm of Sydney)
regards
Ren
