Looks like ZK-XSA (7660) with the SAAF instruments in the back. Fantastic looking plane!

7660

Yep, that'd be her. We were invited to do a fly over for the battle of Britain commemoration, stirred up the juices for some old souls,
probably the last private aircraft to fly the old Wigram airspace.
Saw an excavator in there last week so its only a matter of time before the houses start to appear, shameful lack of insight on someones part

Mr Chimbu Chuckles is disqualified from this particular event..as he knows the answer!
A clue to the location is that this place is a space shuttle alternate (or used to be) it was also the 1 scheduled destination of a certain supersonic transport aircraft

Top one makes me think Nuku'alofa (Fua'amotu terminal on the tail, and old hangers over the eastern old side of the runway past the nose)
-one of mine from nearly 20 years ago-

Middle one could be Nausori (with a remodeled blue fascia board above the terminal since my time, and the old Air Pacific hangar to the south)

Bottom one makes me think French for some reason, could even be Labasa with a new terminal, but really no idea..

Frigatebird you are correct for the first two.

The last one is about 600Nm or so North of Fiji... There isn't much there at all, but the currency is in Australian Dollars.. Just as a wee hint..

Well, if its Funafuti in Tuvalu, then it's changed a bit since I was last there in '98 in a Saab 2000. New buildings, rising sea levels (less land area) etc.

Fiji Air used to take that Heron out to Rotuma, (not 600 miles) then, but that was still part of Fiji.

The homeland of................

Almaty, Kazakstan.

Astana logos and TU's in background helped.

I hope that meal was on an inbound. My Grandfather told me never to order fish when you're nowhere near the coast.

My kit bag (unfortunately) is still a little empty aircraft-wise...so I'm flying everyone elses
Like...

....although this is Rhys flying it here...and this is what occurs following your first solo (thankfully I did mine MANY moons ago)...

Interestingly this is the grand-daughter of a very distinguished AirNZ captain that was a "casualty" of the post Erebus AirNZ fiasco....

And here are a few of the other "interesting" aircraft available on the line....

The yellow one is particularly popular on a hot summer's afternoon! Thanks JackH!!

If you think it was different in 98 try back in the late 60s when I made my last trip in a HS-748

Yeah Funafuti has changed a lot - there is a nice 4 story building beside the international terminal (from the pic), which is their government house.. I know where I want to be during a Tsunami!

The amalgamated Hervey Bay and Maryborough, Fraser Coast Council may have an agenda to close this ex RAAF aerodrome for subdivision if they can..

try the link for a bit of history of the Club,
The Aero Club website is Maryborough Aero Club Maryborough Queensland

(the Corsairs used to use the black spot at the intersection for Carrier landing practice)

Interesting, somebody mentioned this very photograph to me on Tuesday at YHBA. I wonder who that was .

Maryborough is not quite like that now, and the council need a lesson in lost assets!
