i was thinking that, but it *is* setup pretty well.

correct runway heading, correct frequencies selected, correct VOR selected etc. My only question having not been there is that are you always given a code?

Are you serious guys if i could make that up in photoshop i wouldnt be a struggling GA pilot...i have plenty of other shots taken during the missed approach we did...and if you take a look at the freq's in an ersa you will see they are all set in the photo.

Anyone know where i can upload a few photos to so i can post a few of the shots turning into and arriving into Hamo for those who think its fake.

For those interested its taken with a Canon300D with 18-55mm set on M mode with Av set a f8.0 @1/250sec shutter speed.

PS great thread this one with some great photos being posted

Hey Red,

Those pix don't look shopped to me at all.

Nice photography though, did you experience a little wind into Hamilton Island that day?

Load your pix into Photo Bucket and then use the Insert Image button when posting here on Proon, and you should have no problems getting you pix to appear in your posts.

Cheers,

ABX

ABX, umm to be honest mate i can't really remember im pretty sure it was a smooth day with about 10-15kts X wind on finals. Although the next morning i did the T/O from Shute and the weather was crappy with about 15kts X-wind from the left and swirling around in the mountains which made for a interesting departure.
Was very cold also
Fingers crossed these photos turn out below. Pix at 800wide

So where is MEP these days?
And what of NPD? I haven't seen any pictures of it post crash.
Repairable or a done deal?
tlf; MEP was flown up to the Gold Coast for sale and was purchased by a Qantas Pilot! Upon hearing of the purchase TK made the comment that "Now he'll have to learn how to fly!!"
I have'nt heard anything about NPD. Does any Top End Ppruner know?
Oliver;Love the photos of VH-IJE. One of ASA's Chieftains that I did'nt get to fly but apparently it was considered one of the best!
