your second photo is SMITHS LAKE, a few minutes south of Forster/Tuncurry.
The sand bar is openned mechanically when the lake level reaches a certain point, +/- once a year, a big swell will close the openning and the whole process starts again. Magic Place

Hi folks,
A few new snaps from the Masterton Airshow at teh weekend. Great trip up, and back, very lucky with the weather. Had a good look at the new Aviation Heritage Centre, which is, by the way, an absolutely amazing experience. Highly recommended to all, especially non-aviation people who WILL appreciate it.
I did an intro to formation flying this weekend, and learn't a new akro figure, the avalanche, this figure is much easier than the theory! Very busy few months coming up that is for sure! Cannot wait, and roll on Easter!
Our Machine is pictured at the front of the two line up photos, ZK-JPW.

Here is another guessing game
Had the pleasure of an ex Ansett Capt on board for a scenic flight the other day and he must have been more relaxed than my other passengers as he actually took some photo's of landing.
Guess where! We'll see how long it takes!
