See post #4336

The water first went over the Burdekin Dam spillway on 5th January and up to 10th February, 14,370,000ML have gone over the wall.

It peaked at 6.63M above the spillway on 5th February and approx 1,570,000ML of water went over the spillway in that 24 hr period.

The record was 6.68M set in Feb 1991.

The dam holds 1,860,000ML when full so it took about 28 hrs to spill its own volume.

Bradfield's Ideas

Tipsy 2

It is a crying shame that our so called Leaders did not follow up on his ideas, they were good.

Our Politicians want the people's votes but do very little to plan for the sustainability of that same population.

SMS777...Not this time! No need as this was actually taken about 30m offshore..it looks out deep though because the water was so dark.

Ah, not so hard after all, it seems. Yes, Port Augusta, Leigh Creek, and Roseberth. I thought Roseberth would at least keep you guessing a few more hours.

You can just see the 'ski jump' in the middle of Leigh Creek's runway ...

Ahhh beautiful red dirt , nothing like climbing into a cockpit that's been shut up for hours in the South Oz sun , instant loss of 2kgs of bodily fluid due to profuse sweating

Try the ski jump on the cross runway at White Cliffs and LC will seem tame.

Can't fool the mail run pilots!

Just be thankful that trains no longer use the railway line that runs through the middle!

Definitely would have done that a few weeks ago with temps in the high 40's in the shade, & probably in the sixties in the sun!
