Forky's got a right. Cooly from a 767 by the looks of things. A longish final too as I seem to recall aiming directly at Curumbin Pt as a great base/final point at about 800'.

C looks a bit like Armidale but I only ever flew in there once and so I may be completely out.

Sh*t!

I must be getting old. I have landed at Mareeba dozens of times. I looked at that pic and thought, "That looks kinda familiar", but Mareeba never occurred to me. Still not totally convinced!

Then there is the earlier pic of Innisfail - didn't pick that one either, inspite of landing there many, many times including annual renewals.

Hey, but I have been to Dunk all of three times - once in a C310, once in a C402 and once in the Bo!

Radio Saigon, No 2. is correct Franz Joseph. NZ

Goin Flyin, No1. spot on RWY 14 Hammo, where the weather there is often not like the brochure. Rain and poor viz, blowing its guts out. Poor Japanese honeymooners.

The Burdekin Dam is at 160% capacity, with 750,000 ML of water going over the spillway every day!

According to tonight's TV news, that would fill Sydney harbour every 5 hours !!!!!!!!!!!!

Yep, good to be home with the family.

Was a good trip home - 40 knots up the clacker most of the way from the ice to Hobart. Only 10 hours skis off to wheels on. Removing one's drysuit at the end of that is never pleasant.
