nightmode,

This storm...Spun that around on the tarmac, relocated the bungs and gave a free compressor wash.
Are you saying that the storm moved the metro around on the spot like a weather vane?

If so, must have been a heck of a storm, lucky it didn't throw the old girl over.

It was parked in the corner facing the same way as the truck!... Moved about 10m and 120 deg.
Had a stack of fuel in it which probably helped keep it down.

Couldn't believe it had moved around so much - I was sure I hadn't had that much of a shocker with parking in the morning

VH-FTN

Possibly a sentimental topic?

I have a question about the aircraft in the topic.
A Queensland Aerospace Piper Tomahawk...
(It's been deregistered by CASA... registration delegated to new Aircraft)

Firstly: What is it's future? The dump? Or is it possibly good for spare parts?
Thats how it was when I first joined RAC, now it's since been moved onto the apron, and its wingtips have been smashed off.

I haven't seen such a derelict aircraft, and I really think it should have been sold off to someone who wanted it (for a cheap price), than to be left to corrode away in the sea air.

anyone here have any memories of it before it became a rust magnet?

There: my own pic

Pyrotek I would be extremely careful posting copyright pictures belonging to someone else without their permission ... could end up in hot water over that!

ok guys is there an easy & basic way to upload a photo to a thread? I do remember seeing 'how to' posted somewhere but it seemed quite long winded to do.

I know there's the little icon for inserting an image but is it possible to upload from ones own computers stored images or does it have to be via a URL?

any idea's plz?

Flyitboy: go to http://imageshack.us and upload your image there.
when it is uploaded copy the bottom URL in the text box (ignore the rest)
and paste it into the alert box that comes up (when you press the insert image button)

'pyro' yr 17 yrs old for crying out loud(lucky bugga), how long could you have been on the web? You ought to be out chasing girls down the street rather than sitting as home staring at pretty ones on the net! If yr heading towards a pro pilot career then I can advise you to stick with the net, not too many have lost their brief over the net but plenty have been cleaned out by girls

I guess the kids of today have more 'toy's than we ever did ! 'alf ya luck!

Pyro I see yr advice to 'flyitboy' for photo upload. I've tried that a few times & it never works for me. Had any luck so far 'flyitboy'?
The URL seem way too long for it to be accpeted fwhen I try.

Would be nice to upload a piccy
