Dear mum, this army is great, nothing is to much for us troops, they have even shelled out for a seat for me.

Dear mum, I have been transferred to bomb disposal, but to be honest, I wouldn’t recognise one if they stuck it under my nose.

Following some limited success in making a Destroyer Escort disappear......the field test to do the same to a single infantryman seemed much easier.

Typical. Logistics always deliver either the gun or the shell, never both at the same time...

Ignoring the unexploded shell and the deadly snake, Health and Safety experts were more concerned with Private Gonzales' approach to pedal hygiene...

They say the age of battleships is over. But when you need a 16" shell, there's just no substitute.

As I sat on a shell
That could blow me to hell
While a hundred *** soldiers
Could shoot at my shoulder
And all that I knew
The hole in my shoe
Was letting in water (letting in water)

(With abject apologies to Dave Mason/Traffic)
