Scottish Defence Force?
The national/regional hatred seemed to increase after Thatcherism then possibly even accelerate after Blair. Maybe it was always there and I never noticed as much, or was too young to notice. Read a few good articles about it in the papers recently, with de-industrialisation and Thatcherism, the rise of globalization, rise of London, centralization, collapse of the Scottish Conservative Party vote, early introduction of the Poll Tax in Scotland, loss of heavy industry, rise of financial and social inequality all being stated as reasons.
If you watched and supported England, on the TV in a bar in Scotland in '96 and again in 2000 it became very apparent how things were moving..

I don't own this space under my name. I should have leased it while I still could
Did the Yes party tactics from the 1930s lose them votes?

That might happen in part, in effect - but only in central government. Rather than being 'kicked out', it seems highly likely that, just as English MPs can no longer vote on Scottish matters, Scottish MPs will probably be barred from voting on wholly English matters..... In fact William Hague has already been asked to draw up plans for such a fundamental change at Westminster.
Not before time either.
Suggest we vote on whether to kick the Scots out or not!

And I say that as a Scotsman, albeit one with no recorded incidents of in-breeding in my lineage, just to help BEagle rest easy.

I wonder if Westminister will at least respect the majority of Scots wishes and relocate Trident and the 6000 jobs from Scottish Soil

Not so sure on that. Think ALL subs will be based at Faslane now by 2017. T26 will be built in Glasgow. So if we do this again in 15 years, it will be even harder on the rUK.
Upside maybe we do actually see an MPA reintroduction :-)
I really hope this never happens again. So either the oil does run out, or we need to figure a better way of keeping the jocks happy.

You just need to sort out the ****eholes in Glasgow and Dundee.
But to be honest I can't see the SNP getting in again in the next 15 years.
And once Salmond is gone. They will wither.
The EU referendum will now be the focus as I can't see either side presuming the way they did in this referendum.
So after the next election be prepared of a rerun of all this crap again.

Much of the discussion in the media appears to treat Scotland as if it was on a par with the rest of the uk in size, economy and population. It isnt.

"For all their faults the SNP have always voluntarily abstained from voting in Westminster on matters which will not affect Scotland. A shame that the major parties could have not allowed, or even better insisted that, their members representing Scottish constituencies do likewise. Hopefully this matter will soon be resolved in the interests of fairness."
In the defense of the other Scottish MPs voting on purely English matters, they do it not through choice but ordered to by party whips because it suits their party agenda.
Do you really think That the Rt Hon Dougall Mcfiddler fae Auchtermuchty gives a sh#t about a south west rail link.

I've just spent the afternoon with a group of foreign officers from the Middle East and Asia. Once they realised I was British (We don't need flags on our uniforms, or brevets or ribbons on our shirts), quite a few came up to me to discuss the Referendum result and all seemed to think it was abject lunacy for Scotland to leave the Union. The local medja here has been full of coverage, in an environment where the Government paternalistically guide the media (ahem). At least now I don't have to explain why a 300 year old marriage has broken down (and also learned that the Scottish and English naval fleets merged in 1607, fancy that!).
