Mavis fair cheered up when she misheard Danny was coming down after they had finished working to give her a damned good thrashing.

When Gladys grabbed the prop and shouted "CONTACT!", her strange accent made the other girls look away in embarrassment.

The first auditions for the Pearl Harbour movie were a disaster! Too historically accurate for a Michael Bay film!

That poor photographer, he was told they were going to perform a strip down and that he could take as many photos as he liked from any angle he chooses.

As usual the Ladies had to continue waiting for the drinking to end and a decision be made.....fortunately it was not a pregnant silence they had to maintain.

Righto, many a good contribution, and a difficult choice, but the one that made me snigger the most was Ascend Charlie with:
When Gladys grabbed the prop and shouted "CONTACT!", her strange accent made the other girls look away in embarrassment.
Congratulations, and I hand over the CST.

JUST BECAUSE A COUPLE OF QUEENSLANDERS HAVE COME TO THE FORE IN THIS LATEST ROUND OF CREATIVE CAPTIONING

(MPN11 - THANK YOU)

And just to further bemuse the English-speaking peoples of other provinces - Bewdy Boris . . . Banana-benders beneath their bushels hide no lights.

"And no man, when he hath lighted a lamp, covereth it with a vessel, or putteth it under a bed; but putteth it on a stand, that they that enter in may see the light. For nothing is hid, that shall not be made manifest; nor [anything] secret, that shall not be known and come to light. Take heed therefore how ye hear: for whosoever hath, to him shall be given; and whosoever hath not, from him shall be taken away even that which he thinketh he hath."
— Luke 8:16-18, American Standard Version

"The Famous 'Fixit Four' fiddle frantically for fear of their Flight-Sergeant Fitter ?" (Good one Danny - but why four, when there are five?)

This photo once appeared on the 'Straight and Level' page in 'Flight'. The caption was -

"No, no . . . I said I'd take the money."

Fantome, Are you aware that the whole idea of the caption contest is that the next picture is posted by the previous winner?

Silly me, thinking that to digress into other clever captions previously published would not offend. (Readers of FLIGHT magazine over many decades will recall many witty captions. A long-running series had photos of planes in hot pursuit of other planes (i.e. hard up the a. of) . The caption each time read "There are plenty of good people in aviation. Still, always watch your back.)

A headline explantion might have avoided confusion. I was completely bemused by your input, Sir

The drunken monkey is truly deplorable.

(All this palaver is "vamping till ready" . . . . Danny knows.)
