It's a taildragger, so to take off, you point the nose down, and it's the same for landing.

"Well, Mr Cruise, we film it in 4:3 standard ratio against a moving background, then it looks fantastic projected in 2.35:1 widescreen. The only drawback is that you look shorter and fatter which, to be truthful..."

Intake bullet? No, that's the top of the Nav's helmet. Not much room in these things.

Fantastic! That means you can control the power by moving the Nav fore and aft. Tickling the throttle takes on a new meaning!

Our lead designer, Mr Picasso, said something about the tail section being inspired by a cactus - he's one of these 'creative' types, you know.

It's the prototype Javelin replacement, one engine on top of the other, ultra thin wings, we have reduced weight by having a jettisonable undercart. Instead of the traditional rudder and tail plane we have a smaller 5 fin tail.

This will really go like greased Lightning, all we need now is a snappy name for it.

My Mum's got one of those. Put a live chicken in the front, switch on and Hey Presto! sliced dinner ready for the table comes out of the back.

"Yes, Sir, this Taceval's going well for the Squadron - with a little judicious robbing, we've been able to generate fifteen aircraft from our total strength of ten."

What do you mean "the wheels are on backwards"? Did you not see the photo of the prototype in the previous caption comp?

"Well the humble bee shouldn't be capable of flight either, although I must admit, this has a lot more in common with the honey wagon than it does have to the honey bee."
