The new cooler was recently delivered to RAF Gan by manufacturers Redring-Xpelair.

"The Boss is quite worried about the sudden red ring problem on 715 - he looked it up and found 'The red ring disease of coconut and oil palms is caused by the nematode Bursaphelenchus cocophilu,' so we're pumping it full of insecticide and hoping for the best."

"It's all very hush-hush, mate, but it seems they're converting these into to some sort of submarine-tracker and a team are out here from the UK finding a suitable colour for the camouflage. Seems they've decided to start with the bright reds and yellows, and should reach the blues and greys at the end of the list by March, about 3 months' time. I told them I thought it'd be quicker the other way around, but you know aircrew!"

This new electronic 'fly by wire' system sounds great in theory, but I don't see how we're going to mount this computer thingy on top and still have it get airborne.

I find it interesting how the 787 & A350 share a similar style of nose design to the Comet...that's all...carry on.
