I sit here all folorn as i assumed, I know never assume , that ISITD, our barmy army fella was departing to some far flung foreign hot spot. Well he was in here bleating about being mistreated by his "wheel wearing" chums I guess this means we will have to endure lots more of his rather "off the plot mutterings", probably the end product of many years of load bangs and punch up's......I mean look at what that lifestyle did to poor old Frank Bruno

As for me off for a romantic weekend to Devon with Mrs L which promises to be very enjoyable then it's back to teaching so no long range travel plans for me in the near future

ISITD
Sorry to crush any ideas you have, but if it involves the Army as the lead element, it is NOT Tri-Service! There might be others out there who agree, but if Brown leads, then everyone else does it the Brown way, ergo not much common sense, more shouting, less technology, higher rank with less knowledge (they have BOYS as SNCOs!) and, probably, a very high ranking top man who understands little of providing a service (but can lead a charge over the top).
Fact. The 1st RAF det at the dreaded SS reduced arrival, therefore waiting time, by a couple of hours. If Brownjobs could turn up on time without pockets stuffed full of ammo, hexy, grenades and other bang, we could shorten much of it.

Love you all.

ABIW

You made a comment pre-GWII last year that "Those who can do, those can't teach......" What happened?

Mr Hinecap,

I vote for u as Senior Mov Con, me old!! I agree, army movers are all rather young, except a few of my muckers - accelerated promotion for the wagon wheel club!!

ABIW,

The lord did indeed depart the secret airbase, sadly not to sunnier shores. Although another planet was visited. Fun was had by all but we had to come home early as our chums in blue couldn't stand the chilly weather - forgot to pack their thermals (bless)!!

Blakey 375,

Welcome back, matey. Thought you'd stoofed in, old man. Already cancelled your late dinner in the mess and your bergan was bagsed. Oh, and the auction for your kit was planned - ******.

Glad you crabs are still here, twas getting somewhat dull. Christmas hangovers, nark, nark. My name is barbie and I love you. Jesus, look at the rhino!!

ABIW,

I don't believe what I'm reading here. YOU !! - EARTHBOUND - and in a CLASSROOM - No way Jose. It will drive you f&cking bonkers.
I'll remind you of what you said to the Stoat once - " look up in envy fella " - that'll be you every time you hear these Allisons roaring overhead and still 9 years to go. A life worse than death.
Think about what it would be like if in the unlikely event the Stoat should become a Loadie - you would probably train him and then HE would be UP there looking DOWN on you. Scary or what ?

E Bloke,
There was a hint of irony in previous statements in that the "small furry rodent" in question will always look up........financially

However never fear, the course we teach is roughly 2 months groundschool followed by 6 weeks flying training....then a new course arrives and the wheel turns on.......and on etc So during the flying phase we burgle the odd Basra and Kabul, soon to go to "Timmy" I believe, sched along with, where possible, a trip west bound and a day trip somewhere which normally see's the average "stude" out the door and onto the street

However you wrote.........in the unlikely event the Stoat should become a Loadie ........... well you have witnessed his and the other numpties meanderings on here so what do reckon the chances of that are ...................Zip methinks Thank f@ck

ABIW,

Thought you were down in Darkest Devon for a romantic weekend, wining and dining the Mrs.
Don't fancy your chances of scoring tonight if she discovers you've sneaked out to play with the boys !!

I_stood_in_the_door,

Thanks for the warm welcome. My wagon wheel is fine thank you, my daughter wears it on her flying suit !!! (I used to call them "baby grows", but I'm a tad more sensible now).

We used to wonder why every man and his dog got dragged to South Cerney (we could never understand it either, especially when we were travelling with them). The answer we always got was it was what the RAF wanted as they could not cope with the large numbers of passengers moved on a deployment.

I gather now that is it a Blue/Brown run operation and that ATSy are due on camp soon as well. I see Mr C Hinecap thinks it is running better under RAF management - best of luck to you mate, I never worked in the AMC and apart from the day some clown filled the orange juice machine with vodka and orange, it was a place to avoid as far as we were concerned (they had old SNCO's in there with GREY HAIR!!!).

I spent most of my career working with the blue jobs and must admit it was much more civilised, if a little slow.

Why don't we have any Army Smilies (you do realise that I'm part of an advance party) ???

ISITD,

It's rather refreshing to note that the newcomer - Army Mover - can not only submit a comprehensible post but can also punctuate, i.e. full stops, commas, brackets and even CAPITAL letters.
That said..... I do now enjoy most of your rantings.

Echo Five.....

It's so good to see that you are now taking ISITD's posts so well. We are truly greatful that you have now 'come on side' to banter and jolly jape away with us mere pondlife. I'm sure that you will agree that allthough we may be at the bottom of the service food chain, we are a very neccesary part of that chain, feeding those above us. If we were to die then so too would those above us. The chain would collapse!! Where would we all be then me old??

Sufficient bate has been given for a return of snake like tounge....

Please, we invite you to banter away..............

Grimweasel,

You've been ejaculated from ARRSE have you, or, crawled from under a stone where I once suggested you crawl ?

To reiterate what our chum Blakey advised you some time ago;
" If you can't spell it, you can't kill it ".

This is rather puerile and I apologise to all the "normal" readers of these threads but do you mean:

greatful as in grateful,

allthough as in although,

bate as in mastur, or bait as in dangling of,

tounge as in tongue as in forked,

AND

chains tend to snap or break (not brake),

whereas PYRAMIDS tend to collapse,

And what of this talk of dying ?

Did not the revered Blakey also say

" You dream the dream but ......................"

Now toddle off dear boy and rest your weary brain.

Again my apologies to eveyone, banter over.

PS: Edited for a spelling correction. Hee Hee

Good post 3Greens which merely serve to highlight the short comings of the cammed up brigade. However in Grim's defence I think maybe Blakey should have just said "f@ck off" as all our barmy army chums would have understood that ...........not that they would have listened

Look forward to some articulate and intelligent repostes

Grimweasel,

" A few spelling mistakes on pupose "

What bo11ocks. On purpose my ARRSE. You've got too much previous for anyone to believe that.
I'll remind you yet again that this Thread is for the benefit of Movers and Loadies and anyone with something sensible to say.
I think it would be safe to say that you will never be good enough to become either of the first two and your general Bolshiness will probably preclude you from the third.

Echo....

good to see you back old boy....

Anyone (you included) can write their prose first in MS Word then spellcheck and cut'n'paste.

But that would be dull.....just like you, you small minded working class monkey!!!

Grim,
With your "previous" on here for making a complete "horlicks" of the Queen's english is it any wonder 3greens was prompted to write

As regards your claim that it was all a wind up I suspect you have actually discovered the power of the great god "spellcheck"

Anyway see if you can find an explanation for the term "gimlet" as I think, based on your posts here, it is probably quite an apt description of your good self

all spelling mistakes are "df" alcohol induced

PS....wonder what name he will call me
