Yes Iver, I may do. I have an option right now with Saudi SFS in the Kingdom right now. A bit confused as to if that's what I really want to do. Definitely different type of flying. Just trying to weigh out what will financially be better for me, an EK package or the Saudi SFS one. Either way I won't be 'at home' so all other things being equal 'sold to the highest bidder' unfortunately.

Current 734 gig is alright (for getting some heavier time) but definitely not the kind of gig most people would even entertain. Got to do what you got to do!

The FO basic is 24110 AED but what is the new flying pay hourly rate?
Can any one clarify if this is payed only on block hours
Lastly what is the range of night stop payments I understand it varies on location but have no figures to hand

Would 2500 TT with 2000 hours of it on an EMB 145/135 be acceptable for a first officer application?

Can any of you present EK pilots help me out on this one?

I hear mixed views on the hours/weights required... etc.

So I went to the Miami info get together. If you fly for some regional that has a mix over/under 30tonnes just say over 30 tonnes and get the interview. Thet dropped the 55 ton requirement just for you guys to apply. Even the hr rep hinted they wouldn't check which one you fly that closely. Now if you've got 10000 hours pic turbojet under 30 tonnes you must be a terrible pilot so you won't get a call for an interview for sure! Funny how corporate and airline guys both don't think they can do each other's jobs. What a bunch of BS. Variety is the spice of life and makes for the best pilots. I want to fly into 4000' private airfields and fly a 400000 lb airplane in my career!

In short, NO. The requirements are quite clear.

But don't worry, they'll still need guys when you do have the time.

So r u saying that if i have more than 4000 hours in the crj200 which mtow is 24000 kgs I should say that it is above 30000 kgs in order to get an interview?
Then my other question is that on the Emirates online application the only choice you have when selecting the MTOW of your aircraft is either below or above 55000 kgs, and no where is mention of 30000kgs.

I think you will find that the recruitment PILOTS know exactly how much a CRJ200 weighs, and if they spot the fact that you have been telling 'porkie pies' when they trawl through your log book first thing on day one, you will be sent straight home.... Do not pass go, do not collect $200, don't bother wasting our time again!! (trust me it happens)

Wait 'till you have the requirements, far safer that way!

I wasnt thinking about lying, I was asking if that was what one of the guy on here saying we should do to get an interview.
As far as the requirements would u prefer hiring a crj 200 captain with more than 3000 hours PIC.
Or an Fo with 2000 hours on the crj 900 and 4000 hours total, I am saying this because the first one wouldnt meet EK weight criteria while the second one does since the crj900 mtow is 33 tons.

I just think it doesnt make sense and it is a poor sense of judgement. Hopefully someone at EK recruitment will realize that and get rid of this requirement and instead maybe require PIC time.

Apply with what you have. Just ran into a new hire going through sim training who worked at 9E prior to EK. He said that several of his friends just got called this week to go for interviews. All with CRJ200 PIC time. Things change on a daily basis.

I can find nowhere on the Emirates website that states there is a 30,000 kgs MTOW rule either.

As an aside the EMB 145 comes up as a type listed under the aircraft type category.
If this wasn't considered valid jet time then why bother enlisting it!

Food for thought. I may just apply and see what happens, nothing to lose.

Just to clear up the 55 ton. I went to the office and asked. Yes, there is a 55 ton requirment. It does change though and it may change again soon. Go ahead and apply if you want to come, at least you have it filled out if it changes soon.
