Looking for information or tips to study to ATP Exam and SIM

Hi guys.

I´ve just received the invitation to DEC assessment, now I´m looking for tips or any source to study for the ATPL exam and the SIM session. I´m studying with "Aviation Exam", I have heard that "dauntless" is good too. Any advise that you can provide me? Send me a PM if you prefer. I really appreciate any help.

Thanks

Guys,

how long will it take if I apply, let's say, today until you will be invited for the assessment in Doha? What's the rough timeline for the application process?

Thanks

Hello guys.. According to "QR7735 - Type Rated Captain Boeing" vacancy advertisement at QA careers page, I understand that B737NG pilots having 2000h PIC, without 787/777 type rating may apply this advertisement. Previously I didn't realize, B737NG was in the list. Do I miss something?

"Be type rated and current on the B777/B787 with minimum of 500 hours in command on type, or on B767/B757/B737NG/B747-400/800 with a minimum of 2000 hours in command on type."

I know they hired some 737 guys for DEC on 787....unless it changed they wanted wide body experience for 777.

last month they added 737 back to the admitted types for non-rated candidates.

Vailidity IR rating

Hi,

I read in some posts from 2015 that you need to have a licence/IR rating to be valid for six months when joining QR. Does this rule still apply?
Currently, my licence is renewed every 12 months for a period of 12 months, which theoretically reduces the time frame to join to 6 months per year if you always need a licence that is still valid for six months.

Thanks

Hi All,

Just passed the PSA test, I'd recommend assessmentday as training website as their database is similar to the questions found on the real thing. Latestpilotjobs database comprises only around 50 questions..

Upgrade

Hi guys,

Does anybody knows how upgrading to commander works on 330 fleet?

If you are flying for 330 as f/o, when you meet the all requirements are u going to upgrade as a commander on 330 fleet?

And are they using 330 and 350 as mix fleet or separated.

Thank you.

Airbus DEC

Hi all, please could someone update on how life is on the 320 these days for someone joining as DEC..how is the roster, how many hours a month?

After how long does it take to be transferred to a wide body (which is my goal).

Just trying to get as updated info as possible, thanks for your help.

Training Bond..

In all your rush to 'fly big iron' at any cost, YOU ARE aware that THERE IS a hefty training bond associated with this, aren't you? And, internal fleet changes or migrations also subject you to the same tythe. There are risks and there is never 'something for nothing'. So, when calculating your pay to buy/lease that fancy SUV or hot European set of wheels, you might want to see what is left over.

No more 6 months ratings validity to new joiners

A guy who made the assessment this week said that the "6-month rule" of ratings validity has gone for good.

Rating just need to be valid at the date of join.

Good to hear that. Thanks for the information.
