Passing the assessments is not equal to getting hired. Some fail the medical, some don't get a visa, some don't pass background checks, the airline can suddenly changed their man power requirements at the last minutes, the reasons could be endless. So don't resign your current job until you sign the contact and get a visa.

Unsuccessful after Hired

To be honest, same thing happened to one of my friend. Cleared Sim-written-interview-medical, i mean even submitted the documents as required at the last stage. Was just waiting for the joining date....most of our batchmates got the joining email except my friend. After logging to careers page - HIRED changed to UNSUCCESSFUL. Mailed them but got no reply.

My question is :-

1. Got unsuccessful because of some security clearance or its just their way of rejecting an application blaming the UAE authorities so the they dont have any burden of explaining the reason to the candidate ?

2. Can candidates who get unsuccessful after clearing everything re-apply ? Is there any cooling period for a failed security clearance scenario ?

3. How to know if you failed in your security clearance, as nobody is replying from EY HR...I mean everybody is just assuming that its because of the security thing ?

4. Does failung in EY security clearance mean that none of the UAE carrier will hire you ?

Any update regarding the same is welcomed
Thanks in advance

Your friend will be called. The same happened to my friend, hired, then unsuccessful, and he received the joining dates around 10 days ago. Should not check the application stage in the website, that thing is not reliable. My friend was waiting more than 1 month, and all other guys from his group received the contract. I understand that seeing the "unsuccessful" thing is a bit painful, but the truth is that even when you see the "hired" status, it doesn't mean anything.
They are being a bit overloaded now, so as soon as they receive all the approvals he will be notified with the joining dates. Waiting longer is a good signal, because if there is any problem, they will let you know much faster. Good luck to your friend, i am
sure that he will notified with good news soon.

One of my batchmates, after a week and a half, also saw that his status on the careers page changed from HIRED to UNSUCCESSFUL, but he still hasn't received any email with the rejection response.

How did your situation turn out? Was your colleague eventually called?

He is quite worried. My status is still HIRED, and I’m also nervous waiting for the response.

Thank you.

Etihad Pilot interview

Hello everyone,

Can anyone give me some feedback on what to expect in the Etihad interview? I’ve seen that now, when you’re invited to AUH, it’s only 2 days instead of 3.

Thanks and good luck!

How long did you have to wait for the assessment call after you submitted the online Pre recorded interview?

Is there anyone got assessment recently with EY? Me and my friend both applied to EY since april. My friend got the assessment for 3 days in early july, I later got assessment date in late sept but it reduces down to 2 days. Might be changing in format or sth I dont know. But any insight is much appreciated

Yes assessment is done in 2 days now. Day 1: Written tests, sim, group exercice and interview done in their HQ. ( psychological and compass tests) are done later in the hotel on your Ipad. On day 2 medical check.
