In my case, after I sent the video. They got back to me around 1 months later with several forms for flying hours breakdown and update the profile on their website. Then another 2-3 weeks until I got the email offer for the 2-days assessment

Hi guys, i have just received the confirmation of the interview, apparently it is 2 days with technical exam, technical interview, Sim and Medical. can I check if anyone has any information about the technical exam? i am a DEFO on the A350. A friend of mine has went and said the Technical exam is difficult but he was given a generic ATPL exam which consists of things that you wont remember from the ATP Days. but for a DEFO, will it be a Type Specific, IE A350 Technical Exam? or will it be the same Generic ATPL Exam done on the Ipad?

Etihad interview
Just a summary for Etihad interview for those who are hoping to try.
Etihad will pay for the hotel stay (approximately 15mins from their HQ) air tickets are Economy Only. Non upgradable.
day 1
1) summary of the package + Etihad overview
2) depending on size of the candidates, you will be divided into 2 groups. 1 will take the Simulator, the other will take the Written/Ipad technical exam. Simulator is a standard LOFT, with afew tricks up their sleeves to overstress you with ATC calls, weather, failures and decision making. It is difficult to complete your FORDEC/DODAR due to the workload intensity which they will place on you. Written technical were mostly from your ATPL school days. There are notes lying around with some questions. However, dont expect the answers to be the same. Most of them have 50/50 answers that its either or questions after the process of elimination. It is really tricky.
3) everyone is gathered to 1 room. Once youre done, you will be ushered to the room and there will be refreshments. Documents check can happen anytime throughout the day regardless if you pass or not.
4) group exercise. Given a scenario for the group to work on within 20mins. Pretty straight forward, make sure you participate and do not overly dominate.
5) individual interview. Starts off simple with generic questions about yourself, but moving on to the technical bit, it gets really tough. Expect 15 mins of self introductions and why Etihad , and 30minutes of technical questions regarding your type rating. Some questions on CRM and scenario based will be asked to check on your decision making and how you are work as a pilot.
End of the day, you will be informed if you pass or fail.
Day 2. Medical worthy of the astronauts. Fasting is required. We left the hotel at 730am, we got back at 6pm. The normal GCAA was done followed by an eye Specialist to verify everything from being colour blind to cataract and lazy eyes.
a compass test and a psychology questionaire is to be completed.
Expect to wait awhile before getting the offer letter.
I understand what i wrote above is brief, however, the questions and sim profile changes. I had friends who went to the interview 2weeks before, 1 week before and on my date. And it changes..however, it does show a pattern of them wanting to know your character as a pilot, why do you want to join Etihad and how well you manage stress and last and most important, that you do possess a good wealth of knowledge on your aircraft (during interview & simulator).
All in all, Etihad seems very strict with their recruitment, however I do understand that they are trying their best to filter out the candidates based on their requirements.
you can be given 350/380 cross fleet which is interesting.
All the best

Great provident funds? Where are you coming from? EoS in QR will be barely 15000 dollars/year IF you stay over 20 years. If you stay less is going to be 6000/7000 per year.

The bigger issue is the company instead of matching salaries, is targetting Indigo pilots or pilots from South America as they would work for lower wages. The company does not realize once RIA is fully operational there would be a mass exodus of qualified pilots. The management should recognize the value of current pilots.

if its about money, I wouldn't be a pilot at this stage. My side lines are making much more. Its about the lifestyle and family requirements. And the company's future goals/ways of dealing with say, A Go Around. At present, Etihad is expanding quite rapidly and this also gives Command upgrades quicker. Abu Dhabi is so much easier to live in as compared to the dead Qatar (after world cup) and have u ever tried going to Riyadh? ☠️☠️☠️☠️ theres a reason why they are paid high!

Hi all,
I got my assessment coming up and was wondering if the ATPL test is done before hand at home or if is on the day. And for 320 FOs is the ATPL test based on 320 systems or is it a generic test? If anyone has any recent feedback about the interview it'll be great if you could share that too.
Thank You

Running the numbers between EK & EY, the delta is huge over a 10-15 year stint, even when ignoring the time to upgrade at each. Surprised EY can get away with it, particularly while targeting such rapid expansion.
