Hello everyone, I did my assessment in first week of October 2023 and got a positive news third week of October 2023. I am now in the hold pool. There were 6 of us and only two experienced pilots. Rest were cadets.

Well, I guess I’m accepting another offer then. Never seen anything like this, I find it rather unprofessional. There seems to be no structure, clarity/transparency in the process and that’s quite alarming.
The time it takes to have any acknowledgment of your application plus the process itself, followed by some being placed in a pool in a few weeks vs several months for others who applied much earlier, it’s touching the bizarre.
I’m disappointed but I can’t wait any longer, with my experience, I expected the common courtesy of telling you “what’s-what” when you apply all the way to an offer. It’s that respect that builds healthy relationships and from what I read here, plus through conversations with line pilots, there’s a certain culture of little manners and a lot of disdain. Best of luck to those still patiently awaiting for them.

nothing till now and I'm accepting another offer, those guys will lose many pilots by the way they deal with candidates…

Was placed in the pool in April. Did the assessment at the beginning of March. Airbus rated. They contacted our group a month ago to update our profiles: recency dates, current company, notice period, interest in QAT, etc. Nothing specific. Waiting time is undetermined. No feedback at all.

Suggest to look for other options, dont look like they need anyone by the way they treat candidates

I understand it’s frustrating.
Venting here might be cathartic but withdrawing your app on the portal sends a more emphatic message.

If you left on good terms they usually accept ex-QR pilots. Most probably they will check your file, to see if you had any disciplinary action ecc ecc

I applied for DEFO Airbus on 1 Dec then this morning I got email to submit some more documents and I submitted them already. The status in the career page is updated to be "Meet Basic Requirements".
Anyone have any idea what the next progress and how long to wait for the next step?

It could take few days or eternity. Once they check your docs they will send you the link for psychometrics. Don't expect too much from them, they can shift your assessment date couple of times and on top of that nobody has been called from the pool since April so far. Take your time and apply somewhere else. Queue is extremely long, and training capacity is insufficient.
