moving the same planes everywhere.. there is no time for a proper transit with maintenance. Everyone is running.
Talent pool is never ending.. training is very slow and for everyone that is leaving takes months to release a new pilot in line. No one seem to care..

I would look to the training standards as opposed to these DECs being 'unqualified'. The training departments are responsible for the standard of pilots released onto the line, period. IF training is too short or not thorough enough, standards can indeed slip.
One day, you will be a DEC. I hope you remember this.

Let me guess, another disgruntled FO? The DECs are indeed qualified, and I would suggest many of them have many more hours than you do. The fact that many of these DECs were not rated on the specific aircraft is another matter; were you so awesome in the role after one week? A new company, new SOPs, new aircraft and even a new geographical region can be a gruelling transition.

Thank you, you exactly summed up why there no DEC’s are needed. There are plenty of very senior FO’s with more hours than those dec’s. Hire someone as FO, let them get the experience needed for the job and upgrade them. Just add a few qualified dec’s with the right amount of experience and that’s it.

Rumor has it that all hiring (at least for DEC 777) is stopped until at least April 2024. Situation is obviously quite fluid given geopolitical situation in the ME, but source is quite solid to my knowledge. Success you all!

it is needed, some countries should be banned , I am sorry for those legitimate pilots but Better safe than sorry. It is a problem that should be addressed properly but their own authorities as well
]Let me guess, a mister know it all who thinks he knows exactly what is going on in the company. Unqualified is exactly right, the new pilots fired got caught lying on their hours and logbooks. Big investigation is going on. And this was mostly DEC. You are clueless.[/QUOTE
Not really, just an honest perspective. Up until now, it was a general conversation regarding the issue of DECs. If you want to be specific, then yes, some people, both FO and Captains, may have given false details. That wasn’t really the conversation. This unfortunately is common in this region and from certain countrie.
As you go on to mention, they were discovered for their deceit and fired….. how does this impact on the issue of DECs in general?
