You can’t stop people paying for the TR and working for peanuts, they’re not interested in making the industry a better place, they’re not even interested in the type rating, what they want is the 2000hrs on a jet so they can get an application in to a Flag Carrier or the ME, and for that, I think they would work for nothing. You won’t find many FATPL students who want a career in the LCC sector.

MCC/JOC : 61%

i got told today i wont be considered for online assessment even though i had first time passes on all tests and 90% avg on atpls. no reason why they refused, unless they are taking a break for a while, i was shocked tbh

Same for me, first pass on all exams, 94% score, engineering graduate, never called back for an assessment... but I'm over 40, luckily I have my steady job and I keep it tight.

Hi guys, unfortunately I failed the assessment on the 7th of this month, I did a normal mcc on a king air 200, does anyone knows if I apply to the APS mcc with AFA I will be accepted and get a second assessment chance? Did anyone here repeat the simulator assessment and then succeeded?

Yep, mate of mine has said how dire the situation is becoming. I don't believe it is exactly as you describe though but its poor practice anyway. It is a joke. How can people be fooled into joining the airline….all those MAX aircraft are replacing a very large number of older NGs. Don’t be gullible people. Yes there is a recovery but they’re overstating it. RYR are making money out of people paying for their type rating….. Poor senior FOs losing out on hours and pay because of this appalling practice. We have a lot of people in this thread defending RYR. What can you possibly defend?

Let's assume one person wants to pay himself a type rating on a specific type of aircraft and then apply for a job around Europe.
How much does it cost a B737 -Type Rating plus a Base Training if you enroll in another Flight Training organization if you want to do it without being linked to a specific airline company?

I paid less than 15k with CL and NG difference training (I fly both) but I did it only because I had a job offer lined up on the condition I would get qualified by the start date. The average price is around 20k with base training included. When you join an airline there's an hoist of other training to be done and that also costs money. The 30k at Ryanair is not only for the type rating.

So then at the end, they are making 10.000€ for each candidate extra! Wow, if that is the case then, they can increase the incoming for the entire company.
But at least after that, we will have something in return for 6 months contract, so in the end, we will pay around 22000 € for a type rating if we subtract what we will earn during the line training salary.
( I didn't consider the living expenses, only the amount of money for a normal type rating average)
