Haven't heard back yet following on from my initial application yet!
I applied through FTE - does anyone know if they are still reviewing initial applications?
I take it that FTE don't do Stage 2 in two parts like Oxford, correct?
Best wishes to everyone.

@flyboy4
What did the first stage entail roughly? Aptitude testing?
I wouldnt worry too much if I were you. These tests are pitting you against around 3500 other applicants. Someone suggested here that we each have a 2% chance of entry! Those are not great odds
If you have your heart set on getting a pilots job, there are many other ways into the industry, you just might not be starting here on this occasion.

Stage 1 = initial application, stage 2 = aptitude/assessment, stage 3 = interview! Correct me if I am wrong!
FTE and CTC doing stage 2 and 3 on same day, OAA on separate days.
If you get through stage 1, you are invited to stage 2.
If you get through stage 2, you are then invited to stage 3.
If you get through stage 3 (the FTO thinks you are suitable for the BA scheme), your details are passed to BA.
They will then decide who is to be invited to the next stage.
Simples!!

Stage 2 D1 Aptitude testing.
Stage 2 D2 Group exercises & 1st interview.
Stage 3 2nd Interview [BA] & personality profiling to check you're the "right fit".

I'm just a little bit confused in this process but I have applied to CTC and still haven't heard from them on the initial application. I see some of you have already attended stage 2 and even stage 3. I'm not worrying a lot since I know patience is a virtue and I haven't received a letter telling me I'm rejected but do people get selected for different dates to see the FTO? Second I'm pretty sure this is a stupid question but I think I'm one of the few who have applied to this program that is from the United States at least from reading every forum post about CTC, OAA, FTE, and the BA FPP in general, but I am just finishing with school here and have no money at all but if selected air fare is depended on me correct? I haven't seen anyone other than people in Europe who applied and got to stage 2. Sorry if has been mentioned or referenced I'm still new to this so I'm still looking all over the web and forums for some answers so if anyone can guide me or PM me and have a few min to help me!
Thanks a lot and good luck to everyone

Hey ayrtonsenna, if you read the BA site it gives you the details on how to get this certificate. you have to contact NAIRC and pay for a cert.
i got this cert recently, i did not have it on time to attend the FTE assessment, but BA said i can hand it in at the next stage if i am successful.
It came back and said
An A level = Higher level leaving cert subjects
A GCSE = Ordinary level subjects
So if you have honors in Irish, English, Math’s, History and did ordinary level physics and chemistry then you have 4 a levels and 2 GCSE's.
So an A in Higher level Math’s is = to an A level "A" grade.
Unfortunately this post is not good enough to hand into BA so i suggest you go back on the BA site, find the link to NAIRC and send them some money and then you will get the certificate back.

I did say "correct me if I am wrong", so thank you for the correction.
Re: your grouping of stages, ctc applicants do aptitude and group exercises in morning (some do aptitude first, some group exercise first) and only those who are successful that morning are asked to stay for afternoon interview. So maybe your stage 2, D1 and D2 are different for each fto? I should possibly have put stages 2a and 2b instead of Stages 2 and 3? I agree with your first and final stages. My equivalent to your final stage would have been labeled "stage 4".

I applied to CTC also, and have heard nothing from them, so you aren't alone. Unfortunately reading all these other people flying though the phases makes me think we may be in the rejected pile!

likeflight - yeah, I sounded harsh but i didnt mean to. Thats the problem with this medium of communication, you cant sense the tone!
One of my friends (havent heard from the other yet) did their stage 2 day 2 this week and they said the interview wasnt too difficult and common sense is more than enough to prepare as it was more of a chat. The assesors were very nice people and were very good in structuring the simple questions so that you had every opportunity to present the information they were looking for and put your best foot forward!
Quite reassuring I thought

Not a problem, didn't think your reply came across harshly. The good thing about the forum is that people can air their views, get a little reassurance and get clarification on points they do not quite understand. It is good to see people helping each other out.

Hey guys,
I've signed up just to share my experience so far.
I applied as soon as the application window opened and only heard on thursday that I had an interview with ctc wings, it was really short notice as I could only choose this coming monday, tuesday or wednesday. For anyone who hasn't heard either way yet I thought they might like to know that isn't necesarilly bad news- I wasn't expecting to pass stage 1 as other people heard ages before me.
Is anyone else here going to be at the selection centre on wednesday the 19th?

FTE 2nd Stage
I've been invited to the second stage which form the info I'm assuming is just aptitude tests and PILAPT. Is there any interview and if so is it necessary to gen up on BA? If so any up to date basics much appreciated.
