Hi Guys.

Regarding the 747-412 series it's an Ex Singapore airline aircraft, who has been updated by KLM engineering.
The B757-2Q8, is apperantley in Nantes for repainting, and this aircraft has been in service for Sunexpress (Turkish charter airline), Aladia Airlines (Mexico) and Aeroemexico (Mexico). With Sunexpress it had 219Y Seats.
The B757 aircraft has winglets.

From what you can read from KLM/Air France engineering, is that they have a contract with Eagle Aviation, for maintenance of their aircrafts, so at least the maintenance is done by a well known airline(s).

Do you all remember years ago, when suddenly a lot of airlines opened suddenly ... well most of them went down. Now a days you don't see many new airlines getting born, you see airlines going down, and others in a lot of problems, XL airways, Sterling, Airbal, etc.. /these all went down recently, Alitalia was in trouble, had to be bought, Skyeurope also in trouble, even the big British Airways is in trouble... So seeing this I don't think that some people just create a new airline, especialy in the crisis climate we are facing.
With these words, hoping that these people and companies who are creating Eagle Aviation Europe, know what they're doing, and hoping for many "Wet-lease" contracts.

Look at Etihad Airways ... A rich arab wanted to create an airline.. well look how good they're doing. Look at all the new airlines in the Middle East .. doing well as well .... So, let's hope something new and exciting will come up, even with the lack of information, but as people said before: Starting a new airline requires a lot of work and especialy a lot of legal paperwork that can take time.

The only thing I hope for us as Crew, is that they think better about the salary and perdiems.
The only thing that makes me thinking is why are they recruiting in Europe giving salaries of 1300 to 1700 euros, and in Asia they're saying at their candidates 1000USD ??? Does this mean that after all the interviews they took in London, they will get people from Asia for only 1000USD??
Let's hope not.. and that they will hire people from everywhere over the world at the same salary. ...

Let's hope some news will arrive from London...

Good luck people

What Im wondering is why those who got hired in the Philippines have a contract or at least more info than us. I wouldnt be surprised if they decide not to hire Europeans and hire CC from Asia as they seem to be 'cheaper' than us.

We'll see guys but I wouldnt be too excited about this!

Cool

the crew will be initially based in JED (od DBX), in the future....where the company'll need.
Fresh info from this morning: the training B757 767 (and probably B747 too) will be probably last week of august, the date 'll be comunicated hopfuly at the end of this week/beginning of the next (it depends by the mock-up availability in LON). hope everything will start soon....think that all of us are bored about the waiting and excited to start this new adventure!

Donīt know about crew bases or anything else yet. Trying to get certain info regarding my position but things are a bit vague still.

Anyone else got a ground position in France?

So when are we meant to receive an email with all the official information??????!!!!!!

I can't believe all the info we know is because people are ringing recruiters or Stephanie..... she should keep us updated. Once again, one email every Friday saying she doesn't have info is not enough.

tu_ki,

What else do you want her to do if she has no information ? To send you an email every hour stating the same "i have no info" ?
I'm sure when she's got all relevant info we need, she'll tell us.
Look tu_ki, I don't know how long you've been flying, but at a certain time in your career, you'll realize that our job is all about running and running.... and then waiting and waiting.
Now if you're that desperate, you should give her a call, you might, who knows, get to know more.
All the best and see you soon in JED.

Tzigane, don't tell things that you got from this guy who is not working for Eagle Aviation an giving you wrong info. The AOC is not got yet by the compagnie. The french caa is waiting that they employ first french crew who have been laid off before. And the french CAA is wondering why are they recruiting abroad(i mean non european such as thai and philipino crew) as it is a french compagnie. If the things are improving don't think you are going to fly before mid october. And I don't think that the airlines who gave the contract to eagle aviation are going to wait further.I gave you some advices and this is what is happening now.

This doesn't really make sense.... Nowadays all the airlines around the world recruit crews from all over the world. Think about Ryanair, Emirates or Etihad just to give you few names...

I don't see your point

I hope we all get 'the' email very soon... to be honest, I'm looking forward to reading the contract

For once, i must admit that i agree with tu_ki ;-)

- I'm not French myself, although I have already flown for a French Airline.
- Plus as tu_ki said, many airlines recruit from all over the world
- I have flown for several airlines, few of them were actually from my home country !
- The Right leads the French government (and this is not the way the Right Wing usually handles it)
- Eagle Aviation Europe is a new company. No matter what happened to former Eagle Aviation.
- Anyhow, Eagle Aviation Europe have contacted some of former Eagle Aviation crews and proposed them positions too !
