Did anything ever come of a rumoured cover-up, over an inflight wing overheat?
I heard the HKA was doing it's best to keep that incident from the HKCAD's knowledge.

Hi Guys,

Can someone give the latest info as to what's happening at HKA. How are the loads on the A330? Is this a business plan that will survive the competition with Cathay? On an average how many hours are the pilots flying there? Thanks in advance for the replies.

Well it looks like the little Singa playpen at HKA is suffering from the little ones all throwing their toys out of the cot. It is hard to believe that the CAD will do anything as they are involved up to the neck with "The Bedwetter" being a willing stooge for whoever is in control at HKA. All they have to do is stroke his delicate ego and anything goes, hence the mess that constitutes HKA today.

It really doesn't seem likely that Ronal is pulling any strings at HKA as two of his puppies turned on him and stabbed him in the back to ensure he got sacked. It is far more likely that what is happening is simply a continuation of the groos incompetence that has always been displyed in HKA management. Nothing will change whilst the current management are in place. They are taking delivery of more A330s and they still can't crew them.

Rumouris K.O failed to make TC in Air Asia then he resigned and joined Jet, then failed again to make LTC, then join HKA.
Dick Stew fastracked him to LTC and jump straight to AE on special appointment without AEX, not following the progression.
They have a strange bunch of people working in HKA. DFO in one corner, FOP in the middle and other side of buildling and K.O in the rostering section.
Looks like they aren't mixing. Must be the reason for the daily backstabbing. Management lost direction, demise is soon.

Ok gentleman, after being for so long with my mouth shut, let me give you the real picture of HKA, A330 fleet.
Pilots ARE ON GROUND FOR MONTHS. All due to bad planning. We are all sitting here at the Hotel, waiting for Line training, others for CAD Exams, others for...lots of reasons. Apparently, at the beginning, Airbus Instructors were not enough, then CAD was delaying Conversion Terms on purpose, then no dates for Exams, then not enough scheduled flights for training, then no Instructors. Where does the lie stop? Where? Meanwhile, we are all sitting here, doing nothing. Some of us waiting for a training flight for 2 months or more. 2 months? Only if you now somebody there, otherwise expect 4 month after you completed your training at Airbus (6 and half weeks). Oh, and the salary is crap at this stage, so what are we supposed to do? Ask for a Bank loan, before you come here, because the money wont be enough.
We try to talk to the A330 management, when they are there. The poor people have no idea of what they are doing, so they set up a new strategy. LETS ALL RUNAWAY!

GMF, I have never met him, and only few of my friends did. Apparently he is always in France, picking up all the airplanes, and running away from this situation. The situation that he created! I heard that, from THE actual Management, that he is the only one with experience on type, but no Management experience. Nice job my friend. Can I go to France with you next time?

Crew Training Manager?? Who is he? Is he the man that is running away as well? All the training is done by Airbus, and when we arrive here, he doesnt organize anything at all. Nothing is done or scheduled FOR US. We go to the office, but he is never there, HE IS ALWAYS FLYING. How come? He has no experience in his position, he doesnt work, and I heard that he never flew Airbus in his all life (CANNOT CONFIRM THIS), so how did you get this position? He is a nice guy for a coffee, always available to listen to you, but very weak and poor doing his work. He is resigning again ( I heard from a friend, that before I arrived, he resigned already 2 or 3 times). Will he leave this time or not? Gentleman, lets place our bets again?? And why are you running away?? Because you are one of the guilty ones. What a lousy work you did, congratulations!!

Fleet Manager, CONGRATULATIONS!!!! Where can I apply to be you friend? Can you also get me a Management position? I can be your Chief Pilot Hotel Assistant Deputy, ok? I also dont know what I will do, but I cant do worst then you, can I? First of all, he has only, around 1000 PIC and not on type. He never flew A320/A330/A340. How did you get this job??? Friendship? Can I apply as well? PLEASE?
If I were you, I would also be ashamed of my work, and...RUNAWAY!! Where were you before?? F/O Air Hong Kong and now A330 Fleet Manager, how does CAD coop with all of this? Nice friends, my friend!

And now, the best Hotel mourning coffee news!
HKA, A330 Freighter, flying to Singapore yesterday, had a FIRST INFLIGHT ENGINE SHUTDOWN!!!!!! Already? Congratulations Fleet Manager. I heard that you just had HKA, 1st Engine Shutdown. I heard that you were the one flying. Will CAD finally Investigate HKA, you and your friends, and decides to do something? Or maybe not?
So now we understand, that we came here, with a lot of lies said during the interview, but still thinking that it is ok to work here.
Now, we realized that, the salary sucks, and a good advise to all the future new joiners... DONT BELIEVE IN THEM, the salary sucks, Management has no experience, no routes, no exams, no Instructors, and now? NO MAINTENANCE???
Somebody needs to do something.
Well, I will tell you one thing, if the market keeps going up, myself, the new Chief Pilot Hotel Assistant Deputy, and my friends, will built some hours on Type, and get out to look for something else better then this.

Congratulations HKA, you just ruined all of our hopes. And why did I thought that all this things told on this threat were a lie? WHY DIDNT I BELIEVE IN THIS THREAT????
Future new joiners, I know that the A330 TYPE RATE IS FOR FREE, but watch out, the salary is worst then what they say to you (and dont forget the TAX). Its all a LIE!!!!!!!!!! Get the rating and GO...

Where is the standardization of checks? No monitors fly duties, over works; exceed hours, poor roster nowadays.

I am sorry, but If I wasnt smart enough not to join, I am not stupid enough to RUN now. Where would I go without any flying hours on type. I quit my previous job, like everybody else and came here. Went for training at Airbus, everything looked fine, but then, upon arriving here, the mess started. It is only after we come back, that the lies really start.
So now what should I do? A330 Captain with no hours on type, would you give me a job? Dont think so! So now, the smartest thing to do is to warn other pilots not to come, built some flying hours on type, and apply somewhere else.
Dont focus this thread on me now. I was just sharing my thoughts!
We just had an Engine Failure during Cruise and executed wrong procedures. Anybody cares about that? Lets see what CAD will say about all of this. Its normal that you screw up if you dont have time on type, probably I would do the same, but the Fleet Manager? No excuse! Lets see if the outcome of the Fleet Manager mistake, wont affect all of us. Just hope that we, the people who dont have friends in Management, and no hours on Type, have to pay for his bad mistake.
Get out of HKA now? I cant be that stupid twice!

PS, dont PM me with questions about the interview. Just show up, and you are hired, thats how desperate this people are. BELIEVE ME!!!

Sorry but NO CAN DO!
Not my job, and I am not that kind of pilot.
I am just crying loud and desperately, till when will the lies continue??

Anyway, since I cannot afford to pay for Hotel Internet everyday (yes, HKA doesnt pay for internet at the Hotel), cannot and will not post everyday.
I just used Sunday to call family, and to say IT WASNT ME! Took the liberty to advise other pilots. Listen to me and so many others...

To the Fleet Manager,
I just want to tell him where it is. Please read it before next flight:

Its on FCOM 3.06.30 P1, SINGLE ENGINE OPERATIONS Standard Strategy

To my other colleague,
It wasnt your fault! You were flying with the Fleet manager, you were right, but then...

now next time, you use,
FCOM 3.02.80 P2 CREW INCAPACITATION (Fleet Manager), and only then
you use,
FCOM 3.06.30 P1, SINGLE ENGINE OPERATIONS Standard Strategy

It is the job of any pilot to advise the CAD if there is a breach of safety. If you do not, you are partially responsible for any accident that might happen due to covering up the entire truth.

There are totally anonymous reports you can submit to the CAD, but I do feel you have revealed your identity to management.

Thats what happen when you are not willing to pay for experienced A330 pilots to manage the fleet.The cheif pilot only has less than 500 hours on type.This is where the blind leads the blind.Was surprised they flew the cargo to Singapore,thought they dont have an AOC

As a matter of fact, there are CAD pilots flying for HKA/HKE (the usual "internship"). In my oponion, I believed CAD well known their storieSSsss...., just the matter of will they really execute the kill or not. Besides the cockpit crew, their cabin crew training is also a piece of joke. Insufficient training, brainless cabin crew management personnelSSsss... any FP (flight purser) from CX could have done a much better job than their department GM and "ManagerSSsss". It's a huge surprise to me of their STUPID level.

Heard HNA pulling back aircraft so demise is starting.
The 733 cargo will go back first then followed by all the 738s.
If that happens then not sure about the fate of HKE.

Was told K.O lost his TRE status. CAD had enough of his nonsense.
No need for KA to fail him. He won't be accepted for AEX course.
Real embarassment. He might as well leave HK as he did with AA and JA
when he failed to get training captain.

Some pilots will be leaving because there is so much instability.
Dick Stew resigned. New guy from Airbus Beijing taking over.
They should bring back GR, NH and AF and kick out the DFO, GMF and HCS.
Stop further SQ imports. They are losers and are a disgrace to aviation.
