condorbaaz..... if hka 330 drivers fly 100 hrs a months, that will translate to
Problem is ... history speak for itself and all promises will be broken. 17000 a month sounds good on paper but...It aint gunna happen.

Flight time Hong Kong to Moscow is about 11 hours which that means you need to do 4.5 return sectors a month to Moscow. Aint gunna happen.

Also HKA is stopping Moscow flights soon because the monkeys in management did not do thier homework and planning. They only now realize they are losing too much money and have failed to train enough crews.

So now your on the 330 doing PEK or BKK flights. To get your 100 hours a month you need to do 17 return sectors a month to Beijing. That aint gunna happen.

If you were getting 100 hours a month, try doing it staying in the ****test hotels, with the worst support, with the lowest annual leave and the worst wages and conditions in Hong Kong. You will very soon burn out and quit or get divorced or all of the above.

And finaly... with all the training that is going on at the moment to try and get the crews trained (that should have been planned months ago) means you will not get any sectors anyway. So you will be on basic salary.

condorbaaz.....Keep on dreaming buddy.

Try having a read of this entire thread. Nothings changed since day one in this company. :ugh:

Sorry if this as been already posted, but what about:
1. Sick days;
2. School Allowance;
3. Travel benefits;
4. Loss of License;
5. Provident fund;
6. Days off;
7. Per diems.

The way you describe this outfit, those benefits are not there or are quite insignificant.

Happy landings to all

Sorry if this as been already posted, but what about:
1. Sick days;
2. School Allowance;
3. Travel benefits;
4. Loss of License;
5. Provident fund;
6. Days off;
7. Per diems.
  1. I forget the actual days allowed but you will penalized for it. You do not get full pay. Also if you have serious illness for 90 days your contract will be terminated. The policy promotes people to work sick otherwise you get penalized.
  2. NIL and schools are very expensive. Even pre-school is very expensive.
  3. Four free of charge tickets TOTAL on the HKA net work plus a few i.d 90. No free tickets to home country for pilot or family which is standard practice in this industry. Pay yourself.
  4. What is that... No
  5. $1500 HKD (193 usd) per month which is Govt minimum plus a small company contribution (about 2000-3000) you are not entitled to receive the full company contribution unless you complete 10 years service with the company. REPEAT... 10years. The company can (and will) fire you after 9 years and 11 months so they do not have to pay you out.
  6. Eight per month as per contract. If you are not flying you will be on standby every other day. You will never receive more than 3 days off in a row as per company rostering policy. Even if you do only 1 return sector to Moscow you will get 8 DDO (day off) and the rest are standby or reserve days which you are not paid for.
7.
  • Basic 30000
  • Type 20000
  • MBA (P) 15000
  • 0-25 HRS = HKD 350.00
  • 26-50 HRS = HKD 500.00
  • 51-75 HRS = HKD 700.00
  • >76 HRS = HKD 1000.00
  • You are not paid hourly pay in the sim, when a safety pilot, or when the engines are not running. Hourly pay starts when the aircraft moves under its own power to when it shuts down. Any flight preparation, time travelling to the hotel, delays sitting in the aircraft.... you do for free.
  • When you go on annual leave you will receive basic pay for that 28 day period. (Note all other Hong Kong/World airlines provide 6-10 weeks paid annual leave at FULL pay.
  • If you take 2 weeks of annual leave you have used 14 days of your 28. Days off are not included (like all other companies)
  • You do not get paid for working on a public holiday, and you get no extra pay OR a extra day off (which is standard airline practice) Even a street sweeper or a garbage collector in Hong Kong gets this entitlement (not HKA)

The way you describe this outfit, those benefits are not there or are quite insignificant.
congratulations. Someone has finally got the message.:D

Fly4Fun 18th Oct 2010 11:50

Thanks changi.prison.

As I thought, the benefits are quite insignificant. They send me the application form but I wont even get the trouble in reading it.

Happy landings to all

747ANC 20th Oct 2010 09:08

the side info. "high failure rate" on a/bus group pls check other rumour of HKE/A. with the lowest package$$ T&Cs they offer in the world. that s why they short of pilots forever. Hopefully, they won't go bankruptcy one day.:uhoh:

mizzy 20th Oct 2010 15:41

A thought - I can hardly understand why they (both HKE & HKA) still not able to “stabilize” their SOP? They have been in the business long enough and I have a serious doubt about the “foolishness” level of their senior management. Surely they are not 3 years old kid or fresh graduate, they must be people with normal brain (may not be smart) at least.

My impression of HKA/HKE is a bunch of guys with very different backgrounds operating with different standards even they did undergo the same training offers by the company. This only lead to a single answer – they don’t trust the company. All the comments I have been hearing from them about the company are – stupid; silly; non-sense and I don’t know….:sad: personally, I absolutely agreed.

If their boss isn’t; the Hainan Group but some individual investors similar to the former Oasis, they would have been out of business centurieSSsssss.... ago:D:D:D

Fly4Fun 20th Oct 2010 16:55

Would be at least strange seeing a game over at HKA for not having enough pilots to play the game :E

Tziganul 21st Oct 2010 15:47

lowest salary in the world

so does anyone here think that perhaps ... in the future ... (yes the very very far future as some of you may think) ... that they will consider increasing the package? or am I still in my dream? :zzz:

the reason i'm asking this is because over the last few years, there have been a few start ups that have done quite well for themselfs. which ones? well look over at air asia, tiger, silk, porter, westjet, flybe, to name a few. people were laughing at what some of these airlines were offering in the beginning and now they would sell their grandmothers (if they still had one) to get into those companies.

any thoughts? wait a sec... am i still dreaming? :zzz:

Toruk Macto 21st Oct 2010 16:09

The question is IF they offered more money , how long would they keep paying it? Their argument would be that market forces made them increase the package and as soon as they could they would say market forces allow us to reduce your pay and with no contract you can't argue.

agent001 22nd Oct 2010 05:44

Heard some illegal PCs going on in HKA. 737-800 Fleet Manager K.OOI
had his PC conducted in secret by a China TRE without proper CAD validation.
What's Worst is a CAD officer was supporting pilot.
How are they going to clean up this mess??????
Also a CAD case of bad examining by K.OOI. Fails pilots he doesn't like.
Also he is TRE without going through AEX. Hope our boys in KA and CX fails him.
Probably no difference with Little Dickie.

Fly4Fun 22nd Oct 2010 11:06

The way those guys are running the show at HKA/HKE or they have lots of money to afford new planes to be parked with no one to fly it and to make fun of the pilots with those ridiculous conditions, or they are a total joke and playing a show off and, unfortunately, will be bitting the dust soon. Just my two cents...

agent001 25th Oct 2010 03:01

Looks like the Singa Snake is still in the grass.
Vengeance after being so shamefully terminated.
Remnants of his team are being manipulated to help him destroy HKA.
The "Demise of HKA" will be sooner rather than later.
Anything they do is against CAD.
Either wilfully or through sheer ignorance and incompetence (more likely)
in running an airline.
Those who have reason to hate HKA will have cause to celebrate soon.

Fly747 25th Oct 2010 06:39

Dragon Freighter

It is only leased from Aircastle but the 330F would look great in KA Kolors!

gerago 26th Oct 2010 03:14
