G-STAW.
I would certainly like to meet the Manager that says "I don't want to re-new these two major contracts"
G-STAW you are living in cloud Cuckoo land and maybe we could shake hands sometime. i would be very interested in meeting you.

Captainspeaking
I do hope that in the future your attitude to all the ground staff that turn your aircraft round in all weathers with all the pressures of tight turnrounds will change. We are an integral part of your job and while you are in your cosy flight deck the guys and girls outside are are ensuring that you depart as safely and quickly as possible. It may not be of consequence to you that someone on the ground loses their job but without them you can't do yours. I assume that you have been in your position for some time but your comment -"of little interest to aircrew" seems a little harsh.
I know that all aircrew don't share your views but it's a cut-throat business out there and we all do our best for everyone given the limitations placed upon us.
Keep safe

He he HAL
Maybe had you approached me for a job some 10, 20, 30 or 40 years ago, you'd not have got one ! One looks for knowledge, experience, adaptability, and above all enthusiasm. Would you care to come and learn how to use a REAL HONEY CART
in DNKN or DNMM after an inbound HAJJ ?
Thought not
But it is tax free ! Sorry too happy to get into wind-up mode

Servisair
What i don't think many people understand is that Servisair are the "big guns" in ground handling, I'm not saying they are the best in anyway.
What you have to understand is Servisair have been around from Day 1 and pick and choose when they want to win or loose contracts, thats the way they work and have worked form day 1.

Pity about Menzies. They were good at MAN and EMA, and didn't deserve to lose the contract. Probably jumped-up or stressed-up TCX managers tempted by immediate cost-savings offered by the competition. Which means pilots cabin crew and ground-handlers have to struggle again. Plus passengers. Merry Xmas.
