i have receivet an email from emirates, it sound like this:

A week...not more...I was just going to call them, when they had sent me a mail, that all my medicals are completed and approval...

Hello everybody,
im reading this forum nearly every day, because its so great to read all the informations which are very helpfull.
So they called me this week on monday, and the recruitment-person said, that my full - length - picture ist not close enough, and that I should send them one more in focus.
So its nearly all done and tomorrow I will send it to dubai.
Now my question: Was anybody in this forum here ever in this situation? That they required anything again? Anybody an idea what it means to me? Good or bad????........

Hey elivassileva! Now that you have passed your medicals, do they tell you that you can quit your job? Or do you know when they tell you that you have the job for sure?

I guess they will tell me that I can quit my job (if I'm working) when I got my last approval and confirmation....

I'm wondering which is better- appartment provided by the company or allowence? Do you have any idea how much is the allowence? What is the condition of the appartments, are they nice?
Second- about maternity..If married and you are you get pregnant within you 3-year contract, what is the situation? Can you go back after this?

Please be aware that once you move out of company accomodation you will not be able to go back and rent and bills are getting higher and crew say the allowance is not enough. I live in company accomodation and have no bills at all. Also married cabin crew are not allowed to live in company accomodation.
At the moment since there has been a large increase in recruitment some crew are staying in hotels until they finish building the new apartments. That might take till the end of the year. Best thing is to ask your recruiter exactly where your accomodation will be and if in a hotel for how long as I don't know what the new recruits have been told.
Re Pregnancy there have been some changes but I'm not sure if you'd have to be with the company for a certain amount of time to get maternity leave. Ask them before you join if you're married and planning for a baby as you might have to resign and may not be able to stay in Dubai. Normally its not a problem to re join if you resign, and you can leave before the 3 years.

Hotels were not mentioned during my interviews. So if already crew are staying in hotels then anyone who goes now will also stay in hotel. Coz i am sure they will give the accomodation according to seniority.
