Yeah Wilko..

You are in!! Emirates dont make us to do all medicals, passed and said you are not in. I have good impression of them not because i am in but i feel they are professional and sincere and that's also the statement from Singapore agency for Emirates.

Congratulations!

=)

Heya Wilko

If thats the case, you may like to send an email/call them -say you are holding a job, and should you proceed with the resignation. I believe they will send you a letter to ask to quit. ( that will be a more secure confrimation)

I called the office today and they will not send a letter for me as i told them i am currently not working.

Cheers

Congratulations to all of you!

Congrats to all of you who are just getting passed the medicals. Your acceptance will be coming up fast Popins, I´m sure of it! Its so nice to read the positive things on this website about you guys getting through, it certainly makes it easier for those who are on their way. If I was hearing about you doing the medicals and then getting denied, I would be freaking out! lol. This is costing me a fortune and things get done so slowly in Brazil, I am losing my patience!

Hi to everyone who's trying for or waiting for news from emirates. I'm new, not cabin crew but my daughter is due to fly out to Dubai this Friday 8th Sep. to work as cabin crew for Emirates.I've been reading this forum for quite a while, but decided to finally join! We've been through the all the procedures, from first interview, medicals then receiving the ticket. She's really excited and I'm very happy for her..... but sad at the same time. I just wish everyone who's waiting for news all the best, mother hen.

Medical results - language

Can medical exam results, not the forms, the results, be in a language other than English? I am all done, but all my test results are in Portuguese. Anyone know if this is okay?

Thanks! amowers

hi!
all your documents, including test results, need to be in English.
So, either you find a doctor who can fill them in English, or you translate them (which can be pretty expensive).
good luck!

I know that the forms need to be filled in in English and that was no problem. Its that the labs here do the tests in Portuguese and they said it would take them a long time to translate them into English for me-- Estimated 2 weeks. I dont understand how foreign clinics would actually receive the test results in English unless the techicians themselves actually speak English...anyone else ever had this problem? Grr...how I wish I was back home in Canada, this would be soooooooooooooooooooooo much easier and soooooooo much cheaper.

Hi MTAN065,

Hehehe 2 days, are you sure they didnt say 2 months!!! Well fingers crossed we will all hear something soon, I have kept in touch with some of the other people that made it thru in our group and they are all anxious to find out the results, the waiting game is defintely not a good thing.
Well keep in touch and let me know how you go.....this forum is awesome its amazing to know that there are so many people in the same "waiting" situation as us.

Take care

By the way, I keep in touch with two other girls who went through the final interivews and they're still waiting for the result.

Fingers crossed!!!

Hi there,

Nice to hear from another person that went to the Auckland Open Day 19th August I made it thru to the last 11 and I am also awaiting final results. This forum is so crazy its amazing how many different points of views and experiences you get from the different people. I have also kept in contact with some of the girls in the final 11 they are too waiting around to hear something, I am guessing that they are holding us to the whole 6 week thing...either way it would be good to have a result weather it good or bad soon.

Well good luck to you and keep in touch, let me know how you go

seeking help

Hi all..
I’m new in here. And am very happy that such a forum exists. I ‘m an EK wannabe too. And am eagerly waiting for an interview call. I cud not read all the pages in dis forum… now its almost hitting 100!!!!
I can see how many ppl r interested in dis. Infact its hard to believe that there r so many ppl out there who want to be EK CC’s.

I hav a few doubts and questions to those who have attended the interviews and to all those EK cc’s out there.

1) does your height really matter? I knw dat u need to b able to reach 212cm on tip toes…. But I’m able to reach only around 208. now wil dat b a prob? Ne1 out there who has faced a similar situation?

2) during group discussions…. I’m not verry clear about how u hav to speak… I’m not talkative and at the same time I’m not reserved. I just speak to the point and when necessary…. Now is this an advantage or disadvantage?

3) I’m from dubai….. not my native but currently residing in dubai. So, I wud like to knw if there is ne one out here who hav given their interviews in dubai. Is it in any way different from those that take place in other countries ?

4) Nw, dis question is to the CC’s currently working with EK…. Wat if u r already a resident of dubai… do u still get the accommodation allowance?

Thanks a million to everyone…. Wish all of u luck . and to those who hav got thru their interviews and are scheduled to start of their flying career in the sky, I wish them all the best and obviously happy flying.
And to all those wannabes out here. I guess, I’m a new input or entry to the boat sailing towards the same destination and to all of us… GOD BLESS!!!

My joining date is 6th oct as well - I`ve sended all medical docs to them-monday last week- and got an email saying they have received all docs and that they will give an update soon. Now I am still waiting and nothing happened. Does anyone know how long it takes until they tell you if your medicals are approved?
