They will redo your Chest X-ray and bloodwork in the government hospital. Then for medicals in EK clinic they will take a urine sample, give you the vaccines you are missing, vision test, physical examination with the doctor

Medical check
I have some questions about medical check. I heard from other candidates that we have to take an audiometric test, blood pressure test, and electrocardiographic testing. But I thought it wasn't on the list so I'm wondering whether I should take those tests or not. Please help me someone who is doing medical check or those who have already done. Thanks!

Heya folks
Just a few/bunch of questions:
I submitted an application a few weeks ago online which is at applied status. Noticed the OD for brisbane and have applied for that. If they decline the first application without me attending anything, can I still attend the OD?Or am i best to withdraw the first application?
Ill be flying up from adelaide, is it best to allow for 3 days?
Is it harder for guys to get through, if so anything that I can do to boost my chances.
Do you get a preference with regards to A380 or Main Fleet (I would prefer A380)
Is it anything like Qantas? (Applied 3times with those guys but no luck at AD)

Hey dan. The Brisbane one is an open day, which means it's an open invite so come to the interview anyway. In regards to if it's harder for male applicants to get in, it's a no. I've seen a lot of guys make it through, but it does seem the preference is towards female. All the best!

I had my FI on June 26 in Rosario, Argentina. I am from the US, but I live in Argentina, so they were quite surprised to see an American amongst all the Argentineans, Colombians, Uruguayans, etc! OK, I do have a question.
I di my FI on june 3rd, my statut is Under review since then. After 7 weeks, I email them yesterday, saying, that as suggested on the invite letter of the FI I kindly email them after 6 weeks, whithout news...So I did.
Now, my question: IS anyone who got there GC as received the grooming email previews to there call?
IS anyone got there GC whitout any statut change?
IS anyone as received an rejection email, and if so after how long?

Hi yanqui I'm from argentina, but I'm waiting till the end of the year to apply. Best of luck with you GC! 
I'm in contact with a few guys that went to the AD in Rosario and they told me that 7 out of 20 got the call already, maybe you're next! (I'll send you a PM)

hey how are you? me too am still waiting for their feedback, after 6 weeks i emailed them but still no answer from them (i think its because they are very busy at the moment - as i read from their press releases that they will recruit around 4000 cabin crew for their financial year 2011-2012, which is a LOT to deal with within so little time)
from the previous posts i read that some people got their call even though their status remained the same, however as for the rejection e-mail i have no idea.
also most of the time here - people only tell you when and how long it took them to get the golden call.

Help needed from ek crew
have passed all assessment with EK, and i will be ( or not ) joining in a month.
As I am 28 already, and have build up my career in EU carrier as a Senior flight purser, I am concerned to go or not to. I have read a lot of topics, but just simple answers would make my decision, so I need Your help here. I will be posting question by numbers, so it will be easier for You guys to answer.
1. Cons and Pros about main fleet VS a380 ? ( I have traveled a world, so more interested to save some money, than to have exotic layover
)
2. I have read that it is very hard and demanding work on a 380 ( ps I have been given training on A380). The people are very demanding, and the seniors/ pursers are very strict. Can you just describe your experience? Can You describe service sequence lets say for Toronto flight ( who is going to sleep, and who is working etc/ how many cabin crew there are in economy class?)
3. My girlfriend got her golden call as well, I heard that you are paired with the same gender in flats, but the different sex ek cabin crew can stay overnight, and no one is checking it, so it means my girlfriend could spend a days/nights with me or I at her on our days off ?
4. Loundry is paid by ek, is it for all uniform ? I mean do I still have to iron my shirt, or it comes ironed and dry cleaned with all uniform ? ( ps how do they delivere it ? / what about outstations/ any cleaning in hotels on ek expenses ? )
5. How it is living in ek, I mean the newbies are getting housing somewhere in the desert, its fair enough, but is there a gym a pool in every of these buildings/ is it tottaly free with the face card ? ( as this information has been told on recruitment day..)
6 Marriage, I have heard there is housing allowance for married crew (43 000 dhr) however I wonder, If both are cabin crew ( male and female) will they ger each 43k or it is per couple ?
7 How much do you spend in DXB on average ? Im not talking of eating in five star restaurants, just going out once a week for pizza or etc?
8 is the SEP difficult to pass, or what is the killer in the courses?

Hey guys,this has kept me wondering,is it possible for someone without complete set of teeth to be considered as a cabin crew,or is it a disqualification already....?I really want to know guys I have got two missing teeth-molars though not visible....can this fail me in medicals?Keep up the spirit guys,all the best.Thank you.
