To be quite honest, part of the reason why I haven't waited til my study is finished is because I'm not sure my area of study is where I want to go with my career. I'm only 21, this is something i've always wanted to do, and I'm genuinely interested in the industry. Even if I don't continue with Emirates after a few years, i think the job will give me a good chance to find out what i'm passionate about and what direction I want my career to go in. Reason I ask is, I've read on this forum from a couple of girls that when Emirates found out they were studying, they were told to come back when they'd finished? Just don't know how to explain myself if i declared my university attendance and was asked about it...

open days?
hey all
just wanting some advice
i went to an EK open day in jan this year, made it through a few rounds and didn't get the FI.. so I now have to wait for 6 months to attend another, and there is one being held on the 9th (this sat) but that would make it 20 days before my official 6 months is up... will they turn me away even though so close??

After the FI
Hello everybody and thanks a lot for this forum It has helped so much from day 1!
I had my FI on the 18th of june so about 2 weeks ago. I sent my last document (copy of passport) 3 days ago since I had to get a new one.
One of the girls got a "grooming email" today that she needs to fill in and send back. She was done with all of her documents the next day after the FI.I believe her chances of getting the GC is high. Im super happy for her!!
I have 2 questions: does everybody has to get that email before to get the GC?
And since I have declared to my recruiter that I had a tattoo, I showed it to her, its in my back, she herself filled in the document describing my tattoo, ...I was not eliminated afterwards so I guess she think its not a problem...It is actually not visible with a shirt on. But anyways, maybe do they send that form to those who havent declared anything? They maybe double check? If my tattoo was a problem I guess she would have eliminated me I guess...
My status online hasnt changed either...It is still applied...

hello fellow citizens ! once again, just a question for people who had final interview...
where do you have to send the pending documents.?
was it emirates email ( like i did, I have my date of joining already)
or
post adress in London ..? ( My girlfrind went trough the open day in copenhagen, but all the documents and forms these guys had to send to London via post mail (snail mail)...

If you learn more than 10,000 dhs, you will get the residence visa for your husband. In order to reach this amount, you need to move out from company accomodation and receive the living-out allowance. However, I'm not sure if they consider your hourly payment when you apply...
The best solution is if your husband comes on turist visa and finds a job. The employer can arrange the residence visa and the work permit.

hi guys, so i am here in cairo waiting for the next AD this July.
I managed to contact the appointed Agency but they didnt help much and didnt give me hope.
But I made sure they have my application so i would be considered.
So my question is...
- Did anyone from Cairo get an invite yet for the AD? when do you normally get one, after how long?

@Spikes2485 - I am still waiting! What is your status, and when was your interview? I had my final interview on the 13th June. Two girls that I am in contact with recieved there calls (one yesterday, one status is recruiter will contact....) My status remains on approval in progress! I'm so so nervous.
All three of us recieved the grooming/tattoo form last week. I can't help to feel that I won't get the call, as I know I sent back the grooming form second of the three girls...and they have both now received their calls!!!
I'm probably reading too far into things! I would have thought that the grooming email was a good sign, so we should all keep our fingers crossed...I agree with you nat2211!

Last week, Emirates called, asking me to resend all the photographs... I did it Wednesday.
Like all of you i think it is a good sign to receive this grooming form...

Thanks, I really hope so! There are so many mixed reports...I guess we can never tell!
Hmmm I don't think any of them had a tattoo...nor do I. But I know for sure that as long as the tattoo is not visible in uniform, it isn't an issue! I have a friend who worked for ek for years that had one!

Trust me I have been spending all my time reading forums. Unless something MAJOR happens If your status goes to approval in progress it means you are in. Then some get the call the next day, others 2 weeks later..who knows why! They have so much to handle but you will get it.
From my group nobody got anything, I'm in touch with 5 of them and only 1 girl got that email yesterday. Nobody else did. I know she sent everything the next day but another guy did as well and haven't got the email. Who knows! Just gotta wait a little bit more I think!
I do have a tattoo in my back though. But I told her and showed her spontaneously during the group test when we were taken individually, she filled in a paper with the description of it and I passed that stage and went later on to the FI so I guess she thought It wouldnt be a problem. Oh well! If its meant to be it will be! Feels like an eternity though
